Thanks for askin'! ;-) Son #1 is doing great -- it's been a tougher adjustment than he thought it would be since he went up there knowing not one person, and every single solitary person and thing in his life was new and unfamiliar. But he's been there 5 weeks and is settling in happily, both socially and academically. We are going up there this weekend for Family Weekend and I cannot WAIT!!
Meanwhile, I am doing much better than I'd ever have predicted. I miss him terribly but we do talk to him a lot and he e-mails. Life does indeed move along.
Gosh, it's hard to believe Sam the Man is 8 already! Post a picture of him, will ya? He sounds like such an amazing little guy -- and reminds me so much of my Evan at that age.
If we could bottle that "little boy loves Mommy" stuff, wouldn't we make a fortune!!!
Smoogster, thank you - -my gosh, what nice things for you to say!! I'm blushing here!!!
About Al's looks, you're definitely in the ballpark. Actually, Alex is the spitting image of my father, who died when I was 26 and never met Kenny or (of course) my sons. It's really wonderful and bittersweet for me, my mom and my sister that Alex looks SO much like Dad. I look like my father, too, but his features have just been REPRODUCED in Alex.
Hey, workout buddy -- I guess I fell off that wagon a bit, huh? ;-) Hope you're been doing better than me -- write when you can and give me an update! Thx for the sweet words about my boys!
