I am new to Cathe and I am looking for a great all-around workout program for home including cardio, weights, and sculpting. I have always been active and can handle intense workouts, so I am looking for something to kick my butt! Can you suggest some of your favorites? I also have all the workout gear...step, weights, bar, ball, etc.

Also, can someone explain what pre-mixes are and how the work. Another quick question. What is the difference between IMAX and Body Max?

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to make sure I order the right DVD's

TIA!!!

welcome to your new addiction:) since you are just starting out i'm assuming you haven't had a set weight training schedule. i would suggest 2-3 full body workouts with cardio workouts inbetween. so it would look like this
monday: full body weights
tuesday: cardio
wednesday: full body weights
thursday: cardio
friday: full body weights
saturday: cardio
as far as my favorites i love muscle max, super sets, push/pull, boot camp, muclse endurance and power hour. Ok, so pretty much all of cathe's full body workouts. Drill max is another killer.
for cardio do what you like to do. you could run, walk, swim, ellipical, cathe kickbox or step. if you are new to her step get the beginner step videos b/c it will build you up for her advanced choreography. you are going to love working out to her. i'm actually excited for you!!! never in my life have i woke up at 5 a.m looking forward to working out until i found cathe. your going to see great results too. The difference between body max and Imax is that body max is a weight circuit workout (i don't have this one) and the Imax's are step with intense cardio intervals throughout. Imax's are very intense and the step moves can be tricky. Start with Imax (the original) before going to Imax 2 and 3. Good luck!

forgot to answer you about the premixes. on certain dvds, cather made premixes that mixes up that workout in different ways.

Thanks Kariev! I am really excited too! I have been following a weight and cardio schedule and just got bored!! So I think the video workouts will be a lot of fun! I will look into your suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

this is the exact reason why i got into cathe as well. my own workouts just weren't cutting it anymore. all the best to you:D

My first Cathe was CTX. I love it still. It is a complete program and Ididn't have to worry about what to do when. Also, you could order a weight series like gym style and and a couple cardio dvds to make a complete weeks workouts. I hope this helps. It is a little overwhelming at first when you see all the dvds available. Melissa
