New 1420 Calorie burger from Hardees!

I love burgers too, but I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.:)
Why is it necessary for any fast food place to have double and triple burgers? They all do and when my husband orders one I cringe.

Lori

Whoa! That's some burger!! I think I'll pass though ...

Carol
:)

I'll take one and don't forget the fries! Oh, but you better give me Diet Coke!;-)

Besides, as long as you split this ONE burger up into 3 meals and 2 snacks you still are below your recommended daily caloric intake so whats the big deal?;)

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Homer was watching a tv commercial which was promoting a similar burger, "first, we take two juicy 1/3 lb. beef patties, slather it with thick mayonaisse, a lb. of bacon, cheese and top it all of with a fried egg." Homer sits on the couch with his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth..."mmmm...fried egg..."

Anyone who eats that burger deserves the heart-attack that's on its way.

Im thinking your "tongue in cheek" with that remark, otherwise it like asking someone to open some crisps or nuts, and only EAT a couple. Thats not going to happen.

Personally the size of the burger doesnt worry me, but the FAT content does. Couldnt they have made the same size burger with low fat fillings? Its almost as if they are giving the "up yours!" to other burger joints.

What is it with Americans and "size does matter" when it comes to eating? We are already experiencing "portion distortion" and THINK we havent eaten as much as we really have - AND we eat it fast.

Love the "diet coke" remart - thats me. Ill order a not so healthy food and have a "diet coke". I have always preferred diet coke anyway, but people do look at you and wonder "whats the point of that!, after what yourve just ordered!"

:)

If you normally ate 1800 calories a day including a 500 calorie lunch and 1 day substituted this burger you would be 800 galories over for the day. If it take 3500 extra calories to put on 1 pound, I think an infrequent splurge isn't going to ruin anybody.

You have to enjoy life.

Dave

I agree that an occasional splurge never hurt anyone, and certainly we should enjoy life!

HOWEVER...gross!!! Just looking at that burger makes me nauseous.x(

Ruth:)

I definitely agree you have to enjoy life. I like pizza every once in a while, but that burger just looks soooooooo unappetizing to me.

As a vegan, I of course find this a repulsive idea. But even imagining the ingredients were a soy-burger, tempeh bacon, soy cheese, etc. and thus edible to me, it still looks disgusting!

LOL about the diet coke! I can never resist the temptation to look in the shopping carts of overweight people, and they almost invariably have white bread, pastries, meat, candy...and diet soda!

This one sandwich is 37 WW points. I believe it beats out the previous high-pointer, the Bloomin' Onion. Oh my heavens.
