Ok so here is the thing. I'm very strapped for money right now. I only have one true weight training video which is Muscle Endurance. I can't afford to get a new one right now though. Is there things I could do to make Muscle Endurance a little harder? I stopped seeing changes in my body months ago. If I changed up ways I did this workout would it maybe help? Thanks guys!

Yea I guess I could but its not EASY for me at this weight yet. I mean its not hard like it was when I first started. But I guess I shouldn't weight for it to get easy before I up my weight. I'll try that. Thanks rapidbreath! I'm gonna go heavier and slower.

I would recommend to go heavier. I think we're about the same ht/wt; I've seen your previous posts to Debbie. Since I have trouble leaning out my lower body, I started lifting heavier w/my upper body and have gotten wonderful results. I didn't do as many reps but after a while my body adapted to the weight and I was even told today by my Dr. I looked fit and muscular. It's nice when people notice.

Option 1:
If you lift heavier you can also change it to fewer reps.... Endurance workouts are high rep counts(15+)...Go heavy - and go for the muscle fatigue at 8-12 reps. In other words...Do the same exercise but do your reps in sets of 8-12 (w/ last 3 reps being very very hard) take a breather for 30secs - 1 min) and do another set of 8-12. Youll be able to get in 3-4 sets per exercise before Cathe changes the exercise.

Option 2:
Change the tempo. So if Cathes do 2/2 count lifts you can do all reps as a 4/4 count or just part of them as a different count. You can also do a 4/2, a 2/4 count etc..... Going slower makes the muscle work in new ways and makes your current weightload feel heavier.

Theres lots of ways to change up doing a DVD while having Cathe playing for motivation & "lead". Theres all sorts of different lifting techniques that can be applied to most exercises...Changing techniques is very effective for shocking your muscles.

Congrats to you for being so determined to actually do the same DVD over & over! You are a better person than I! ;)
