Need to get in shape for STS!!! - HELP!

OK I am an accountant and I spend all my time being sedentary. And I have been nonstop busy and after this week things are going to slow down which is great except for the fact I am so out of shape right now. My life has been a nightmare for the last few months topped off by having to put one of my dogs to sleep (he was almost 13 and had a long life). So let's just say the emotional eating has been nonstop along with working crazy nonstop hours so I am - out of shape. Now I got STS back in January and I am psyched about it but I feel like I need 12 weeks or something with the Gym Series and my cardio to really get "back in the game" and get the most out of STS - I think this sounds like a good plan what do you guys think?
 
Sorry about your dog. I know that is a very hard and sad thing to have to do.

I was a bit out of shape back before STS came out and spent about two months gradually upping the level of my workouts both cardio and strength. I did Gymstyles split into shorter segments and then 4DS. I still found the first week of STS extremely hard but doable, although it left me very sore. The STS workouts are longer than I am used to but Cathe says that is part of what makes them so effective. You might need to work up to such long strength training workouts.

I am interested to hear what others have to say about this.
