Need some encouragement and motivation

I have been working out now for about 10 weeks. I look forward to my workouts but when I actually get to them I don' want to do them. I also did over a week of 100% clean eating and it was driving me insane from the constant feeling of being unsatisfied with my meal and my husband was going crazy with me constantly talking about it. Any suggestions because my last three workouts have been 15 minutes long and pretty pathetic? Thanks.

My suggestion: patience. Stick with it & you'll start to see results in about 12 weeks. When you start to see changes, you'll start to love your diet & exercise!

You're kind of at a critical stage. I remember when I did PT, clients wanted results immediately. Unfortunately that's just not how it works (oh if only!). A lot of them lost patience & bailed after about 8 weeks. But the ones who stuck it out were glad they did. :)

I agree with LauraMax. It takes time and once you start seeing the results of your efforts it will be worth it and give you lots more motivation.

I know when I first lost weight I had to make myself workout but after the first 10 minutes I was ok. I wasn't going to change clothes and sweat for only 10 minutes. Once I got going I was fine and didn't want to quit on the workout until it was over. I don't know what you are doing now, but I think it's key that you find something that you love to do that way you will look forward to working out. Maybe you need to check out some other workouts or try something different.

Hang in there!!

You might want to re-think your approach to the clean eating, too. If this is totally new to you, yes, it's going to be very hard to get used to all at once. So maybe back off a bit and allow yourself some foods you enjoy. Then just work gradually to the place where you want to be. Good luck - you're doing a great thing for yourself!

My suggestion is also to stick with it. I heard or read somewhere that it takes your body 2 weeks to adjust to something new. I've found this to be true with my own w/o rotation as well as eating clean. It was VERY hard for me to adjust to eating clean as I'm a girl who likes my sweets (haha), but I've found when I eat clean and do it consistantly I have more energy and get up and go than when I stuff my face with chocolate and ice cream. It is also very true that eating right is a big part of the equation. Even more so than working out. Again, this is very true in my case. I commend you for sticking with working out for 10 weeks, that's great! ... don't be so hard on yourself with the clean eating but also give yourself time to adjust to it. And don't forget to factor in some cheat days or cheat meals so you have some treats to look forward to and don't deprive yourself of everything yummy. I'm not sure if I was any help, but there's my two cents.

Motivation that helps me
