Hi Cathe,
First some back ground before I ask my question. I seem to build muscle quite easily. I am not lifting nearly as heavy as you yet I have nice definition in my upper body, abs and quads. I am 5'5, 128 lbs, 27 years old, mother of two and a pear so I have thick thighs and a jiggly butt and a slightly rounded stomach.

I was wondering if the CTX series is a good idea to reduce body fat and yet maintain the muscle I have. I have 60-70 minutes 5 days a week to workout. I also own your PS series, MIS and several FIRMs. Your cardio is too much for me :). In a nutshell my goal is to slim my lower body and your CTX series sounds wonderful but will it do what I want and if so, how long do I do the rotation?

It is so nice to have a fitness expert to ask these questions to. I really appreciate this forum.

Thanks,
Tami

Hi Tami! I'm not sure how to accurately advise you on CTX since you mention that my cardio is too much for you. The CTX tapes are mostly cardio with a brief (about 10 minutes) amount of weight training at the end. Yes, the cardio is shorter on this series but the intensity is generated mostly by high impact movement. So, depending on what it is about my cardio that is too much for you (complexity or intensity) this series may or may not be for you. If intensity is not a hinderence to you, then yes, CTX will help reduce body fat and maintain muscle. You can stay on the program for as long as you continue to get impressive results. The time to move on to another rotation is when the CTX results are less inspiring. Good Luck:)!

Your cardio is to much for me in complexity! I rented Step Jam from the library and stood there with my mouth hanging open thinking "how did she do that!" I tried a few moves finally had to stop and just laugh because I have two left feet! Sounds like your CTX series is just what I'm looking for. Thanks for the quick reply!

Hi Tami - the good news is that once you've master a couple of Cathe's step tapes, the rest are very easy to follow. She calls the moves by the same name and you get used to them quickly. I stumble around on so many other advanced step tapes - can't seem to learn them, but I can always get Cathe's down within the first couple of times! Yeah Cathe!
