need advice on selecting more dvds from experienced catheites

hi, i should introduce myself--i'm canadian, 30 years old, just married! i just discovered cathe a couple weeks ago. so far i've purchased KPC+LG dvd and the power hour + dvd (ph, mis, and bodymax). i LOVE these workouts and i want to buy more. i really want to increase my muscle definition and lean out my body HOWEVER i'm very worried about getting a big bulky look which i really do not want. even though women are supposedly not prone to looking that way, i find that lifting makes me look that way. from those of you with experience in this area...do you think you go through a stage where you look bigger (or less defined) before you start to look leaner and how long does this last?

i have a second question: i've been watching the clips trying to figure out which purchase would be best....i need advice from those who know. if i can only buy 2 or 3 dvds which would you recommend and why? thanks for your help. you really know your stuff..i've been reading the boards for a while now but this is my first post.

Hi and Welcome. If you mix strengh with endurance you shouldn't "look" bulky at all. Thus the reason Cathe herself doesn't look like the lady body builders that you see on tv. You have an endurance tape so I would suggest the Pure Strength series, you get 3 workouts on one DVD working all your muscle groups. Slow and Heavy series is also good for building muscle and strength. If you want more cardio then either go with the Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max DVD or the Interval Max/Rhythmic Step/ Maximum Intensity cardio DVD. If you splurge then get the Cross Train Express series also, I am looking at this one myself for my next Cathe purchase.

It all depends on what you like.
