When you buy the Blendtec buy some ear plugs too. It loses points for being loud, but then again it does have a 3hp motor.

ITA! I use Bose noise canceling headphones with my Blendtec. It's l-o-u-d!

I love my Vitamix too! I wasn't going to suggest it here due to the "under $75" criteria, but it's been the best blender I've ever had.
