Of course I am talking about FOOD everyone!!!
I am on the naughty list when it comes to Christmas and food. Every year, without fail, I indulge. The only "healthy" food on our table around the holidays, is fruit, veggies & assorted nuts (nuts get preferential treatment). Everything else is calorie laden from the mouthwatering lasagna, to the breaded stuffed chicken with ham & cheese, to the roasted potatoes, to the endless pies, cakes, cookies, chocolate & candies (it's nice to have a baker in the family). We give new meaning to the phrase "eat, drink & be merry". But hey, it's Christmas, and indulging in all this wonderful food is what makes this special occasion so great IMO.
To be honest, I don't deny myself anything, but I don't stuff myself either. I try to limit my portions while incorporating all my favorite food. I think that does the trick. I never feel sick or bloated and I am always happy that I got to enjoy myself without denial. I also made time for my workouts, although I am pretty certain I ate through any calories I burned . Did I mention that I banned myself from Mr.Evil Liar (aka The Scale)?
