Narrowing down the selection

Hi All,

I'd like to purchase two more DVD (one strength, one cardio) and I'm having trouble narrowing down the choices. Can anyone give me some advice?

For strength it's between Push Pull/Supersets or the Slow & Heavy Series. I'm leaning towards SH because I've never done such specifically targeted workouts before but I've also heard great things on Push Pull and Supersets so any advice would be appreciated. I already have the Pyramid workouts, Legs and Glutes, ME, Bootcamp and HSTA. Whatever I buy, I want to make sure to get at least one targeted upper body workout since all I have right now that is specifically upper body is the Pyramid workout and I'd like at least two for variety.

For cardio, it's between Rythmic Step/Imax/MIC and the Cross Train Xpress series. I already have Imax2 and it's my favorite, but, since I already ordered the Hardcore Series, I'm not sure there's much point to having three interval workouts when I can only do 1-2 interval workouts a week - but I've heard great things about the other two workouts. I don't know much about the Cross Train Xpress series but it certainly looks like a good cross-section of workouts. I already have Imax2, Cardio & Weights, Step Blast, Step,Jump and Pump and Kick, Punch, Crunch. Whatever I buy, I'm really looking for PURE cardio as that's the type of workout I think that I could use a little more variety with.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Good Moring, It sounds like you have a great selection of dvd's started it doesn't take long does it?, LOL.

I absolutley love my ctx dvd, very very good work outs, a few are a little under an hour which is nice but intense!!, Also in the ctx dvd you get an upper body split work out and all abs as a bonus, I am so glad I have it now. I have MIC and wow-eee what a workout when I am finished with that I feel like I am on top of the world. It is the most intense cardio work out I own. Rythmic step is FUN FUN FUN AND A GOOD WORK OUT.

My favorite strength work out is Maximum Intensity Strength, followed by the pyramids.

I am sure everyone has there favorites,so you will probally get a lot of suggestions, so good luck to you on deciding. Let us know what you pick!. I don't think you can go wrong with any of Cathe's work outs.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!.

I DO NOT HAVE THE S & H SERIES AND THE 3 DVD OF BODY BLAST. IF YOU WANT ONLY A CARDIO WORKOUT I CHOOSE THE DVD WITH MIC, RYTHMIC STEP AND IM.THIS DVD CONTAIN 3 CARDIO WORKOUT.I HAVE RIDDEEN GOOD MESSAGES ABOUT THE BIG FUN FACTOR OF RS AND MIC AND INTERVAL MAX ARE FAVORITES OF VIDEOFITNESS ,THATSTHE REASON BECAUSE I HAVE ORDERED THIS DVD IN CK SALES. HOPES IT HELPS.:) :) :) .VIVA ESPAÑA.

My CTX is new...and I am INLOVE with it. I'm still learning them but can't believe how wonderful this DVD is!!! Just finished KICKBOX and it's amazing how much she can make you do in that time frame. Couldn't believe I waited this long to get it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

CTX is great. As others have mentioned, it is not just cardio. There is upper body work that works one body part per tape. About 10-12 minutes of upper body work per tape. There is also core and ab work in some of the workouts and there is one tape devoted to lower body work. The series is split such that you can rotate the workouts over the course of a week and get cardio, strength training and Ab and core work throughout the rotation. The cardio is varied and I like it and one of the cardios is circuit style and so you get additional strength benefits. If you are looking for pure cardio, I would suggest the RS, IMAX and MIC DVD. As far as strength training goes I really like thwe Slow and Heavy series. This in combination with the strength training in the CTX series would give you a varied weight workout. However, I must say that I also consider the pyramid series a staple as it time effectively works individual muscle sets to exaustion and you can break it up to do one or two body parts a day. Hope this advice isn't making your decision more difficult.

Thanks everyone for the helpful info. It looks like CTX is definitely going to be my next purchase - especially since the Upper Body Split can double as my second upper body workout.

Who am I kidding though? I'll definitely be buying all the other DVDs I mentioned before the fall is out!

CTX is a great choice. I just got this one myself and enjoy all the variety. The upper body split is awesome and the cardios are intense. You can mix and match so many ways so if you are looking for longer pure cardio then just do two of the cardio options and you'll get a great workout. I also have a soft spot for IMAX and MIC because they were my first Cathe's and they are a must in my collection. If you're like many of us here, you'll end up with them all anyway }(

Have fun.

I wanted to say 'Thanks' again for all the help - I've just ordered CTX and Rhythmic Step+ - hopefully this will hold me over for awhile...
