Cathlete
This is her second surgery. Her first was only last April. We caught it early this time because we watch her closely and noticed yesterday that she wasn't acting right. We decided to take her to the emergency clinic at the university where she had the 1st surgery. We left last night around 9:30pm and arrived at the clinic around 12:30am. They kept her and we found a hotel but didn't get settled until around 2am. We brought our other doxie who is NOT a traveler as I have learned This morning, they called and said they thought it was her back again so we went and told her we loved her and spent a few minutes with her and left her there for testing/surgery. They called this afternoon and said the surgery went well and she was already awake and alert. She had an easy and complete recovery last time so fingers crossed that this will again be the case. I swear, I can't believe we're here again! The dr said it wasn't anything we did wrong; they are just prone to back injuries. Ok, I can buy that. But we don't let her jump, play too rough, or run. If she re-injured herself just by moving wrong, I'm worried how many more times this will happen? Anyway, thanks for "listening."
