WOW!!!....Thanks so much for your good wishes Dani, Marla and Kathryn. Also thanks to Angie, Pinky and Jane for thinking about me today..:)...http://bestsmileys.com/signs1/11.gif[/img]..I made it! The weather was perfect and I had so much fun! I ran the 20 with my sister and we met some awesome people. One man that is donating a part of his liver to his 14 yr old son (he has had a chronic liver disorder since birth) The surgery was supposed to have been done already but the complications with bloodwork postponed it til next month. What an interesting man. I did slip once but didn't go all the way down..:)...then about 14 miles twisted the crap out of my right ankle...YEOW. But finished this very hilly trail run about 12 min faster than last year!! A bit over 4 hours. 4:03.

Elaine if you read this. I wanted to say I did the 3 day running a week training and it did pay off...

Thank you all for your constant support...http://www.gifs.cc/tha_you3.gif[/img]...Carole

CAROLE!!! Congrats on your 20 miles race!!! That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you didn't hurt yourself too badly when you fell. I was thinking about you today during my run too. I was wondering if we were running at the same time. I'm so happy for you! :)

Thanks Tammy and Dani...:)...how are you feeling Dani? 18 miles is a tough run...you did awesome yourself...:)...Carole

Carole, I'm feeling better but very tired. My knee is a little sore but not too bad. I iced it earlier with a frozen bag of green beans. TeeHee How about you? How are you feeling? I just finished soaking my feet. That was nice! ;)

I would imagine you are tired! Icing is a very good idea, I just did with my ankle. I'm a bit tired but the 3 hour drive does that too. I know my quads will hurt a bit tomorrow because of some steep downhill. I really should soak my feet...I am getting excited for you as the marathon is getting closer...:)...Carole

Carole,

Congratulations. That is such an achievement!! Thanks for the story about the man that is donating part of his liver. What a nice story. If I sprained my ankle I would be crying like a baby. :) That is so impressive that you kept going. I am in awe!!

Lori :)

Thanks Lori...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/nahaha.gif[/img]I have to say, when I twisted it I was a bit scared. But I didn't feel any real pain after I kept running...thank God...:)...I will most likely pay for it tomorrow...:)...Carole

You Rock Carole! I am so proud of you! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/biggrincurtain.gif[/img]Sprained your ankle and kept running!! Hope you'll be ok tomorrow. I'm glad you had a good time. I was thinking about you.
I kicked butt in horseshoes yesterday. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/c0/haha.gif[/img]I had jello arms from PH, but I still did good. Threw 2 ringers!! That was a first for me. And I only hit my BIL w/ one wild shoe! That however is not a first. Someone always seems to get hit by one of my shoes! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/sgrin.gif[/img]LOL!

Talk to you soon!

CAROLE,

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you feel good today and your ankle is okay too!!

I couldn't run that far if somebody offered me a million dollars to do it!!
;(

I continue to be inspired by you and your amazing & tough workouts!!

Great job Carole.... I hope your ankle doesn't give you trouble today. Those trail runs sound fun (except for the 20-mile part)!!;)

Great Going Carole!!!!!

It is an amazing accomplishment to have completed that 20 mile trail run. I am impressed that your did the 3 day a week run schedule to train for it.
