Muscle Max

How much step does muscle max have in it? In looking at the sneek peek view I'm not sure I get the whole picture of whether it is using the step for more muscle strenth work or is actually used for a cardio segment. Knowing this is a whole body workout, how much cardio is included?
I have muscle endurance and love it and workout with gym machines to also switch up my routine but I don't want another just like muscle endurance just yet.

I do like the whole body thing if my week is busy as I know I've hit those muscles somewhat during the week even though my schedule didn't allow me to stretch it out through the week as I'd like to do.

Just did it yesterday. There is no cardio in it, it's a full body weight workout. The step is used for tricep work, back work, chest work and leg presses with the band. I'd say it is very similar to Muscle Endurance.

MIS? Which one is that? Can't recall all the titles..LOL

I bet the bands add some great resistance work and we don't use those in muscle endurance.

So it would be a good add to my muscle strengthening tapes that I already have? I'm also going to try to get KPC as I need another cardio but I don't like the step workouts so there are only a few of those to choose from. I have cardio kicks and it's good but I want more so I don't get so bored. I only use my tapes/dvds a couple times a week as I visit the gym too but soon I may not be getting to the gym as often due to work around the holiday season.

thanks for your input:0)

MIS is Muscle Intensity Strengh. With Muscle Max you can go heavier then Muscle Endurance as the rep pace isn't as fast. For me personally I think this is the best total body workout out there and would be a great workout to add to your weight tapes. I say get it! I love the band work - it really adds a new dimenson to the weight program.

Wow, EVERYTHING you said here describes me!
I have KPC, which I LOVE! It's different from Cardio Kicks (which I also love)---Cardio Kicks has more hi/lo in it and KPC has more kickboxing choreography in it. You should definitely get KPC, great workout with great music!

Anyway, Muscle Max--as others have already described--isn't a step workout; Cathe/crew use the step as their weight bench. Since I don't have a step, I just use my regular weight bench.

i love muscle max, but cathe's personality is just.. i don't know.. different than usual.. anyone else agree? she doesn't seem as friendly or chatty as other workouts.. but i love muscle max.. especially pullovers with the barbell. that is a great move.. hope to see it in other cathe workouts

I love MM. Like you, when my schedule gets a little constrained but I know I need to get something in, I discovered MM does the trick. Yes it's along the same lines as PH, but that shouldn't stop you. I have both & just recently have used MM back to back each week because it was an enjoyable but very worthy workout.

I love muscle max. I use it quite often. I also think the pre mixes are great but I have heard a few people complain about them. To each is own and I love everything about this workout.

Deb:) :)

I like MM better than ME, but my all-time fave is still PH. MM hits all the muscle groups beautifully. Although MM's leg work is not as brutal as that in PH, those pulsing plies in MM leave me crying.:) I also like it that Cathe plays with the counts in those push-ups. A short set, but it gives me a good, mad burn.

Hi Pinky, very well said. I don't have power hour but a lot of people seem to love it. Isn't one of her newer workouts going to be like power hour, or maybe I read it wrong. I didn't pre order but I can't wait to hear more about them

Have a great day!
