Most precious moments in your life!

Dani, that is precious!!! Did you write that story down?

Now, my DD would be singing "Red Neck Woman", and she sings LOUD! :) She loves that song and wants to hear it everytime we go somewhere. I am becoming anti-Redneck Woman. :)

LOL I wish my big boy George were so discriminating... he loves crackers and canned beans!

*When my son was born for sure.

*My wedding day.

*The day Sal proposed to me.

*The first time I met Clyde (my dog). He was driven out here for us by the breeder all the way from Indiana. I had only seen him in pictures online. When they pulled up, I met them on my lawn and bent down to say hello to the new fuzzy addition to our family and he immediately licked me. His fur was sooo soft. It was wonderful! He had me wrapped around his little paw from that moment! :+

Of course, meeting and marrying my wonderful hubby. Finding out I was pregnant with each of my three children. Holding each of my babies after the delivery. All the little moments with my kids. They say the funniest things. My two year old breaking out in a song/dance when fast music comes on the radio. The latest song is from Madagascar. "I like to move it, move it. Move it!" He's got some moves. Oh, there are so many when it comes to the kids.

Meeting my biological sister and brother (on two separate occasions) and the rest of the family and finally seeing who I really look like.

Good thread! Love reading all of these. I need some kleenex though!

George is my 15 pound black cat, brother to Gracie, my 9 pound tuxedo cat. Can you guess what happens to Gracie's food?? I need to be a stay at home mom for the two of them- I'm constantly policing when I'm here, and when I'm not, Gracie ends up very hungry.
George is the biggest sweetheart boy you may ever see- I call him my cat the dog. He greets people at the door, always wants to be the center of attention. He is ALWAYS hungry, and invites himself over to whatever I'm eating. I was really surprised one day that he could (and did) eat an entire mini stoned wheat cracker- those are his faves. He comes over and chomps them out of my hand- even if my hand is almost to my own mouth! Cracks me up. He eats anything you let him eat- cheese, crackers, etc. Gracie is of course only interested occasionally in vegetables.
Gracie is also an example of a fast metabolism. We end up giving her more food (if we can keep George away) but she eats on her own terms- once every 2.5-3 hours throughout the entire day. She eats, then she goes and plays, then she naps before beginning the cycle again.
This is a long post, and I'm afraid it is only losely connected to precious moments. I can only say, our cats have brought a lot of joy to my life and I consider them the most precious training wheels I'll ever have! I'm not as brave or confident as a lot of you ladies- kids aren't on my list for a long time- but thanks to my cats, I know my DH and I will have a ton of fun and probably bring up some decent young ones.

Wendy-
I've grown to love Clyde from afar through your photos and stories- this one is my favorite! Thanks for sharing. What a family unit, right?

That's mine too, when they handed them over, cleaned up and wrapped up and I got to unwrap them and explore their tiny fingers and toes and feel that rush of joy and reverance of the miracle of that tiny being. And rocking them and singing to them. I wore out a rocking chair and a glider. Now I love it when we eat together and there's laughter and talk. Sometimes, they forget to fight and we hang out and enjoy one another and it's ver, very good. :)

Tell me, what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? -Mary Oliver

Great thread!

1.For me it's all of my animals past and present. They are the most perfect creatures in my life.

2.Marrying hubby. It was so simple; married at night by candlelight in a restaurant, only 16 people in attendance reading poetry and listening to baroque music during the ceremony and Harry Connick Jr. during dinner.

3. This sounds silly, but the Broncos finally winning their first superbowl. I literally grew up in my Bronco pampers and even though I live in AZ now, I love my Broncs. After so many superbowl disappointments, they finally pulled it out.

4. Working hard to save money so I could take myself to Europe. I flew all alone (was 19 at the time) and had a blast.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane

:) :)

How funny, Amy. They both sound precious. I know what you mean about George being your "dog" cat. I had one like that but no other has compared to Fleury since then. I could call him from upstairs & he would come running. He also loved Italian Cream cake frosting & vanilla ice cream. I wish you'd put pics up of both of them. You can see too many of my pet pics on my picture trail.

Thanks Amy! :) He's a great dog but then again, I've never heard of a golden retriever who's NOT great. It's just an awesome breed!

The most precious moments of my life were when my kids were little, there was a moment I was living all over the Rocky Mountains, I was baking my own bread, canning, being among a beautiful christian community. During those years was all about sending my oldest to her first years of school, and two boys that were a year apart, it was like raising twins, days went by so weeks and months and years, till my fourth child came, I was among baby bottles, diapers, sesame street, mr. rogers neighborhood, and I was amazingly happy in spite of my relationship with my spouse, that was the awful part, my kids were all to me, now they are grown ups, working and in college with girlfriends and boyfriends, all I have is the memories, makes me so gloomy sometimes, I even have dreams of them being little again, so to those of you who are raising todlers and school year children, please enjoy every second of it, because time goes by so quick, one day all is going to be memories ;(

Norma,

Shame on you! My eyes started watering up. I have two 13 yr.old teens. And I imagined them going to college and getting married. Even though you see your grown kids, they are not those little kids anymore. Darn it! My eyes are watering again.

Thanks so much for sharing that with us!
