Most precious moments in your life!

I came home for lunch & I had 2 holiday
>cards on my porch--one from him, & one from Maximus. Oddly
>enough, both were in the same handwriting. :)

I'd watch out. Maybe Maximus is a gifted forgery expert. Next thing you know, you'll find missing checks written out in "your" handwriting to PetSmart and some dog porn site.

I knew I would miss some things. The precious moment was when I watched my daughter cheer for the first time, and my son play basketball. Something about watching them have fun and enjoy theirselves. Okay I'm going now!!

>The last day I saw my brother before he died in an accident.

>precious moments for me.;( :)

My younger brother passed away too about a year and 1/2 ago. The last thing he said to me was that he loved me and my other brother so much and to always know that. He sent that to me in an email and then 2 weeks later he died. We were only 10 1/2 months apart in age.
It was his birthday this past Sunday on July 17th. We would have been the same age for a month and 1/2. I was on the Cathe trip and I know he would have been happy for me that I was having fun.

The birth of my children without a doubt and my wedding day. I have truly been blessed. Life has its ups and downs but I've had a lot of ups and have had a great husband and family to share my downs with. How much more could you want?

I have enjoyed reading the responses. These are just a few of my most precious memories:
~exchanging wedding vows
~my daddy walking me down the isle with a tear running down his cheek... my daddy didn't cry
~my two pregnancies including the positive pregnancy tests, hearing the heartbeats, ultrasounds, and the labor and deliveries... I could do it a dozen times!
~my children nestled against me
~pinning ceremony (nursing school)
~lying on the bed with my beloved grandmother during a spring thunderstorm just talking... she passed away that spring
~all the little moments that are just part of life... even my DS spitting his food on me this evening :)

I have shared this before and it may sound odd, but the last hours I spent with my mother. There was something so emotionally overwhelming when I realized it was just me and my mom when I came into the world and just me and my mom as she left it. I am so thankful to have shared that with my mom.

There are so many more. :)

The moment I met my DH at the end of the aisle and we grabbed each other's hand- and his was so cold, I knew he thought this was a big deal!

Every moment I spend with my cats, especially each morning my boy comes up to wake me up. He sits, his head on my pillow, and we kiss each other's faces. When I get up to go to the bathroom, my girl races in, purring, to say good morning. They are truly the greatest blessing for us so far- before kids!

Wordlessly toasting my father in law at our wedding, shortly before he died dancing less than an hour later.

The moment I saw my husband for the first time, my heart skipped a beat and I thought he'd be a nice summer romance... 7 years ago.

(LOL as I'm typing, my boy just pounced on my girl and they're off, hissing and running, through the house. Way to ruin a moment!)

WOW, there are a ton of precious moments in my life!!! I feel so lucky! Thanks for this thread, Kim!

Oh, I have one more! While I was crying my eyes out one day lying with my head in a pillow (because my ex-husband was ending our marriage) my son who was 3 yrs old at the time, climbed in bed with me and started singing "You are so beautiful to me". He learned that song from "The Little Rascals" movie when Alphalpha sings it to Darla. It melted my heart and I don't know how I would have gotten through that horrible time without my little angel.

He actually sang it like this (he was only 3 now): "Your ow so butiful to meeee, can't you see....you're evyting I hope for...you're evyting I need. Your ow so butiful to meeeee". He melted my heart!!

The day my son was born. He was 8 weeks early and the day I delivered I was talking to my husband one moment, not in any pain or anything, then all of a sudden I felt as if the baby was coming and he was, he was born 40 minutes, yes 40 minutes later...he was the greatest birthday present ever (he was born the day before my birthday).

Also marrying my husband

Going to France with Thea77 back in high school

Dani!!! How sweet! I'm going to lose it here.

When Chico, my Chihuahua pranced through my home checking out the house then the back yard with a big "grin" on his face and coming back in looking like "Yeah. I think this will do. I'll take it."

I wasn't even looking for a dog. I'm a cat person! Plus, he was grossly underweight, he stunk & the top of his head looked gross, bleeding and unclean. Some sort of deep scrape, almost looked like a scalping. Well, I was just going to help out. He needed surgery for a very badly fractured jaw.

Later I went to bed to read & he prances right onto my bed & just lays his cheek next to my leg. I am not a overly touchy-feely-softy person but when he did this I fell in love right then. We've been inseparable ever since. Except when I eat popcorn.

The most precious moment was opening the envelope with the NY bar exam results. When I saw that I had passed on the first try, my legs turned to jelly and I slid to the floor and just stayed there for a long while without moving. At that moment I knew that no matter what else happened in my life, nothing could ever take that accomplishment away from me.

Gosh, I almost forgot my animals. Shelby and Ebony our dogs and Bailey our cat. Bailey is a lap cat, he is so sweet.
