More on Mindy

If you have the opportunity to try her new Boot Camp workout, I highly recommend it. I only did the first section (hi-lo with the med ball) and all I can say is... holy cow! The moves were very different and incorporated a lot of functional fitness so everything felt like it was hitting me a different way. It looks deceptively simple when you preview but then try tossing around an 8-lb med ball! LOL

Anyway, I love Cathe, but if you're looking for a challenging change, Mindy is definitely worth a try. I am now trying to control myself from ordering all of her other workouts, lol.

Hi, I tried Interval Express by her and didn't care for it. I also ordered the boot camp, before I did that one. I hope I like her new one better. Maybe, I am just spoiled by Cathe. No one like her.

She and her crew use a 4# ball, so that would make it less difficult, although it's STILL a sweat fest!

I got her Cardio Toolbox when it first came out but didn't care for it. I tried it again the other day and still felt the same way. There is something about it that it doesn't flow.

I like Cardio Toolbox, with some qualifications: it's a good "add-on" DVD with the 4 sections. And you really need to watch each section before you try to do it because her cuing is not that good as far as letting you know what's coming. It's not very complex, choreography-wise, so you catch on after a couple of tries. I always like her "sporty" athletic moves.

I agree with Marie about Mindy's Bootcamp. I've done it several times and I love it more each time I do it.:)

i have a few of hers on her wishlist. when i ordered the cia 2300 series i fell in love with her strength express workout. now i want the awesome strength, her bootcamp, cardio toolbox, and awesome intervals. i love how she uses the medicine ball. makes the workout alot of fun and a break from the same old.

Well, now I have to get the Bootcamp DVD! I just recently got Interval Express and totally LOVE it!!! True, she's not like Cathe, but it's nice to have a change one in a while. I love her goofy and funny remarks and body language during the workout! Is her personality similar in the Bootcamp DVD?

Mindy's personality is indeed the same in the Bootcamp DVD as Interval Express and Awesome Intervals.

In fact, in the med-ball/hi-lo segment of KBBC, Mindy inadvertantly forgot to switch legs in an extended lunge-oriented drill and did the same leg a second time (how she could do that without making her quads/hams explode is a mystery, 'cause that's a tough blast!) so in the finished product there's this written legend to the effect of: "Mindy blew it and didn't go onto the right leg! How could she! Don't forget to do it yourself!"

As far as production values go, both in terms of film quality and the chaptering and premixing that we've gotten used to (spoiled by) with Cathe, well . . . with Mindy it just ain't there. The intensity level is down a bit of a notch as well. But I'm starting to like her stuff, while I'm drooling for Drill Max. Especially Kick Butt Boot Camp.

Hi
I have all of Mindy's new workouts.I feel they are her best yet.The intensity is there.Production has improved but overall not as professional as Cathe. We are spoiled.I found the Supercycle ride to be fun but I wonder what it will be like after several rides. She has you imagine you are being chased by a dog & you must cycle as fast as you can.My heart rate soared while I was laughing away as she has filmed her dog running along the street chasing her husband on a bike.It really is amusing.Mindy is fun but I can only handle so much.I love her original bootcamp-poorly filmed but good workout.I don't understand that Collage video has rated Awesome Interval as a favourite.I think the cueing was the worst in that one.I was very frustrated.I can't believe the new video series did not make the favourite list.

I implicitly trust JM Frane’s and Aquajock’s opinions. Upon hearing that both of them had ordered some Mindy’s, I followed suit. I want another form of cardio for cross training benefits so I ordered Mindy’s “Super Cycle” to use with my stationary bike. If anyone has tried any of Mindy’s three cycling workouts – please let me know your thoughts!

(I also ordered the two DVD set Action Packed - but they have yet to arrive!)

I definitely agree about the production quality. I thought there was a lot of glare on the far shots (which did seem rather far, far away) and I don't like how you can see everyone's shadows. However, her personality is really cute and I am enjoying the change-up in exercises. My butt and quads are actually really sore today and the only equipment we used was the med ball (I used my 8 pound ball but someone said afterwards Mindy was using 4 which would probably be a lot more manageable).

Mindy is great. While her goofy personality isn't for everyone, I like it. She is very fun and certainly knows how to give a tough workout. I haven't tried Boot Camp yet, but I do have Interval Express and Awesome Intervals and really love them.

I've heard that it will be filming sometime in June (mid June?), but there's no word on when it will be ready to ship (and Mindy's last estimate on shipping was several weeks off--not bad, though).

I'm eyeing her All About Set for $36.95 (All About Legs and All About Abs) and the Action Packed & Interval Express Pack for $24.05. The cardio on Action Packed and Interval Express looks fun, intense, and the music sounded good. If I have to choose between the two I will probably order the cardio pack first as I'm hankering for new cardio.
Angela:)
