More Jari Love questions

OK - so I got RTTC just last week - my only Jari Love w/o - and I really like the w/o - the production quality leaves something to be desired - but when you get used to Cathe - well - you know. So are the others worth it? And if so, how do you all incorporate these into your Cathe's?

Well, I have heard that Slim & Lean is less intense than RTTC but still a great workout, while the original Ripped is less intense still (and not so good). The three were designed as a series with RTTC the top. It's likely (again, this is only from what I've read here and on several other forums as Jari Love is really making a splash in many places) that if you like RTTC, you'll like S&L as well. However, the original Ripped may not do it for you. Wendy can probably speak to this much better than me as she has been praising these two to the skies. :7 :p ;-)

I have S&L... just ordered RTTC.
I dont do full body workouts unless its a true circuit but I really love S&L as part of my 1 body part per day. I usually do 2-3 different tapes of a specific body part each day. S&L brings a new "twist" to the muscle group. Its chaptered so that makes it easy to do.
 
Yes, like Marie has said, I have praised Jari's work outs more than once around here! :7

I have all 3. Ripped is the least intense, yes, but I still like it. You have to make the work out what you want it to be. Go heavier and it will be more intense. Also, just because a work out is not considered ADVANCED does not mean it is not any good. JMHO, ofcourse.

Anyway...for a few weeks I used all 3 one time per week, skipping 1 day in between each. I have now decided to leave the regular Ripped out for a while and throw varying Cathe endurance work outs in it's place instead. This time I will wait 2 days between work outs.

Treat the Jari work outs like any other muscle endurance work out you own really...do them all at once. Do them one at a time. Mix and match 'em w/Cathe.

While they are not Cathe's production quality, the work outs have become a valued addition to my collection because they really are fantastic! :)
 
Thanks all. Wendy - how long have you used them and what do you feel they brought to your workout level? More defined (aka "ripped")? More endurance? Just a break from the high impact of Cathe? I've only used RTTC a few times but I do notice some good DOMS - which means I'm working the muscles differently - so I like the potential.

It's certainly helping with my endurance as well as definition.

I still have some fat to lose in order for my results to be more obvious but that's on me and my diet!

I definately feel the work outs just as much as I ever feel them doing Cathe's weight work. I do not ALWAYS get DOMS after a Jari work out but I don't ALWAYS get it with Cathe either.

Oh and I started with Ripped around the beginning of June but didn't use it all of the time. I finally got Rttc and S&L in mid July and have been using them religiously since.

I love Jari Love's DVD's. I don't think the production quality is that far below Cathe's.

I also like that Jari seems very serious about her followers getting results!
 
Yes, Wendy. I agree with that statement. Maybe in the future it will be considered.

I find her sets to have a Zen-like quality. I like that!
 
I just got Slim and Lean and RTTC - I did RTTC last night and had no problems getting through the workout - I actually enjoyed the spider walk pushups - that was an interesting challenge - overall I definitely liked the workout. I need to adjust my weights and go heavier on some of the exercises, but that is easy to adjust. I enjoyed the high rep workout and didn't mind the pauses between each compound exercise - it gave me time to grab a sip of water and re=adjust the weights I used....

My plan is to do the following for the next four weeks...until we get all Cathe's new workouts!!! :))))))))

Cathe Circuit of choice
Jog 45 mins/core max one segment
RTTC
Low Max or Imax
Slim & Lean
Jog 45 mins/Core max one segment
Easy day - yoga or walk for one hour or combo of both
