137! It is finally budging, hooray!
Sorry I was missing yesterday. MIL and the kids and I were busy. SOmetimes I wonder where the time in the days go, and otehr days they creep by. I got in some good workouts yesterday, so I am sore today. I did Cardio Abs from Insanity, nad I cannot cough without cringing! So sore!
Jen- I forgot to tell you that I have had three jogging strollers, so if you do decide to get one, I have had experience with them! You can get an infant car seat adapter and run ASAP! Otherwise, you really need to wait till about 6 months, when they can sit up by themselves. So glad that you talked to your mom. The boundaries are different when you are no longer just a "daughter" but are also a parent as well. I think parents have a hard time letting go. Stick to it!
Melanie- I would be crippled after being on my feet for 10 hours. I bet your back gets sore. Hope that your knee is feeling better. Random, I get a sore knee whenever I get my period. But I know yours is not from that! Thanks for the comments on FB! My MIL took pics of me with the kids, there are almost none, so I am so happy. I am goign to try to get her to take more in the next couple days. Are you doign LoMax with Susan? I am not real good at that one. I need to do it when I am rested, since I am not awesome at the steps yet.
Jen- One other thing. Jari love is disgustingly thin. When I do her workouts, I find myself wanting to go have a snack, afraid I will look like her and not know that I have a raging case of body dysmorphic disorder. Think how thin she looks, and that is with the camera adding 10 pounds! Yikes.

Susan- I HATE ironing. I turn my on like once a year. I lauder all my hubby's work shirts and make a point to buy the SmartCare ones from Nordstrom so I can hang them right out of the dryer! I think I am goign to do Lo Imp Circuit today. I am jealous that you are already done!

Lisa- urgh. Two hours is a long time. I hear you on hard to have two at home! My kids and hubby and I were all sick a few weeks ago. Our pediatrician called in Robitussin with Codeine for Jimmy at night, and that was great, because he would cough till he barfed. Can you steam up the bathroom? Vivks on his chest? Honey helps, too. A spoonful whenever he needs it, kind of coats the throat. If he is prone to any sinus issues, take him to the doctor. Sometimes the post nasal drip from a sinus infection can cause all that coughing. Hope you make it through the day! I am so sorry! and to be sleep deprived on top of it! :(

Priscilla- I am so sorry to hear about your friend. That is sad. My son did not like solids right away either. Daniel sounds so adorable. How are you dong with Chalean? I have mine in transit and am not doing it this week and miss her. I have been doing light weights, muscle endurance stuff and I miss how efficent Chalean is! And I miss my soreness! Hoe you are doing great.
Okay. Got to get the troops dressed and ready for cooking class. Good god. It takes forever to get us out the door. No run for me today.

Your DVDs are "in transit". That's so funny. :D :D This is my last week working just 2 days....perfect for my "project"!!! lol Next week I start working three days/week. I am not looking forward to it. I wish I could drop to two days/week......but we'd lose all our benefits. With five kids....you just cannot live without insurance!

I think I will do lomax....or lowmax circuit? Susan....have you done yours yet? The circuit is cardio & weights, right?

Christine I agree with Melanie..your dh is for sure kegalworthy lol. I am making butternut squash soup today. I found the recipe on allrecipes.com..so I will let ya'll know if its good.
Melanie-oh you just can't work 3 day s a week..we will miss you!

K is all sqruimy...off to eat some strawberries...determined to get in more fruits and veggies today!

Good morning everyone!

Back to work after my long weekend.

Christine, I'm doing great with CLX even though I missed the Burn it off workout on Saturday. I try not to skip the weight workouts. I do have to modify a bit Burn #3, she have you squat down and then lift your heels to activate the calves and with heavy weights I think this is a riosky move. I twisted my right ankle so I'm doing elliptical to get my cardio in instead of her cardio. I still love CLX, this is my 3rd week and so far so good. I'll keep you posted. Good work on making it to the 130s. I am still a couple of pounds away but I think is coming soon. Hey girl, you have to stop taking about Insanity, I may want to get anyways LOL

Jen, I agree with Susan. Jari Love looks way too thin! and she gets thinner and thinner as time goes by. I think her workouts are effective. There is a girl (Laurie) on the background who has lost 30 pounds and you can see in Jari's first DVD how she used to look and how great she looks now but the rest of the crew is just too skinny.

Lisa, how is Caden doing today??

Melanie, are you girls getting shots tomorrow?

Susan, I previewed the workous last night and I can't wait to try them. I want to fit in the side series combo into my rotation somehow, maybe one of the days I do cardio only. I am now tempted to get the squeeze stick, but that sucker cost 40$. Can't believe it!

Off to get some work done here!
 
I'm hungry, so I decided to have lunch before my workout. lol I think I will do lowmax sections 1-4 & then try Jillian's Biggest Winnter Shape Up front for Strength Training.

Precilla, the girls have shots tomorrow. :(

I made the soup...its good..not great..very simple. K is napping...I have ironed had some coffee..I think I might go lie down for a few..yawn!
 
Okay Susan. I will do 4-7 too!! I'm waiting for DH to come home. He's going fishing at 3PM, so I might have to cut the strength training short.

DH pre made some meatloaf loaves for dinner tonight. YUM. I'll have to have a chunk of that for sure. :)

Ironing? What's that? Seriously I haven't ironed in years (except for Grandma Inez's funeral). If it need to be ironed, I return it. No ironable material allowed in this house. :p There is a spray called Downty (sp?) Fabric Releaser that is MARVELOUS. I keep that around for skirts and such.

Just ordered some Brewer's Yeast & more Fenugreek. Gotta get this milk supply up! These girls are going thru a growing spurt.....hourly feedings at the house! :eek::eek:
 
well, no nappy for me. the minute i sat down K woke up. I picked her up hoping she would go back to sleep..I go sit down..recline and rub on her back with my eyes closed. I peek to see what she is doing and she's staring at me with the cutest darn grin...shes been talking her head off ever since.
Mel-how was imax? you have talked about your meatloaf before..is it a specail recipe?? dh loves meatloaf. Sounds like your boobies are working overtime too!.
Ok..guess we'll go read a few books.
 
Hey ladies! Went to Ross on my lunch break and got two new bras, a pair of cute black heels, black slacks and a new pillow. I love getting new stuff. I looked at workout clothes (of course) :p but it was really picked over.

So DH is thinking about switching shifts and going back to days. Poor guy is not getting any sleep. He works until 6am so on those days he keeps J home with him and just sleeps when J sleeps. I keep suggesting he take him to the sitter for half a day so he can sleep but he is adamant that he wants to be home to take care of his son. :) It's sweet but the man needs to sleep! He's a bear without sleep! And come to think of it, I think that is where most our "lack of communication" is coming from. We still have to discuss it more and it will be harder on me in the AM because I won't have him to help with J before work but it will all come together. :)

Susan- I thought your post said "I ironed some coffee" :confused: Hope you got a nap in. We have our windows open at work and the fresh air is making me sleepy.... LMAO at Christine's DH being "kegalworthy". You guys are terrible! :p But he is cute! :D

Mel- Let me know how you like Jillian's workout. I have never done any of them so I am curious. I might try the 30 day shred this weekend but I am curious to her style. Oh and good point about family and sticking around. I just feel like I am always the peacemaker in the family and it wears on me. I used to be more "tell it like it is" and not care about the consequences but I think age has changed that. :rolleyes:

Christine- Good point about the camera adding 10lbs. She must be disgustingly thin. Oh well, if her workouts are decent I can block her out. I just want to add some variety. Thanks for the info on the jogging strollers...I will probably wait until he is 6 months old until we find one. I was going to start asking around and looking at yard sales. No big hurry with it but I think J would enjoy looking around too.

Priscila- I hate returning to work after a long weekend. That first day back is so hard. Hope your day wasn't too bad.

Ok need to get back to work again! Pray for me, MIL is at my house w J while DH is in traffic court and we will be having dinner together. :p
 
Oh Susan, you snuck in! Sorry you didn't get your nap. James does the same thing to me....I get him all swaddled up, stick his pacifier and peek down at him and he is grinning like "Hi mom! Tricked ya!" Little booger! :D
 
Christine-Nice job on the weight! That must have been a great way to start the day! thanks for your suggestions on Caden's cough. I somehow completely forgot about Vicks. I've heard it mysteriously works in helping a cough by putting it on feet...haven't tried it though!

Priscila-glad you like your CLX workouts. I'm still considering buying those since I understand the impact can be modifed.

Jen-sounds like you did well at Ross. I've never gone to one before as we don't have them here, but my sister loves that store. Is it like a Kohl's? How sweet of your husband to insist on watching James, but I agree he needs his sleep! I wish my DH did a bit more insisting on watching Caden...but that's another story. I had to cuckle when I read the 'lack of communication'. I hear that all the time in my house, but DH never thinks that lack of communication is him not listening or remembering what I said...

Melanie-I'll have to check out that fabric spray. I'm ironing work clothes all the time for DH and me. It got a lot easier once I bought a Rowenta, but it's stll not something I want to waste my time on.

I have a treadmill run scheduled today since I have limited time. We'll see if I can do it without interruption.

Christine, thank you for the package. I"m excited about making baby food & the kiddos will for sure use the swimming thingies. You are soooooo sweet. :D Great job on the weight loss. What is your goal weight?

I did LowMax 4-7 (like Susan). I really liked it alot...thanks for the idea! I also did the Jillian Biggest Winner workout. It was okay. I might do it again, it was only 30 minutes long.

Well, off to work on OPERATION CHARLEAN ;)

Jen-its great your dh wants to be home with James..but like you said he needs sleep...especially in his line of work..If is changes his shifts maybe it would help you guys get back in the swing of things...because you know hes kegalworthy!:D

Christine- How absolutely rude of me not to congratulate you on your weight loss! ((High five))

Lisa- Ya like how "lack of communication" is in quotation?? :p I got humidifier when James was sick and I think that helped a ton with his cough. We also did the saline nose stuff with him so it wouldn't drip in his chest and cause him to cough. Maybe you can try that?? Do you have a TJ Maxx or Marshalls? Where are you again? It is a store that sells out of season name brand clothes and household items. I get some really good deals there. :D

Melanie- YOU ARE AWESOME! Thanks for the update!

DH is cooking spaghetti tonight! YUM!
 
Whew. Four of Eleven are done. I'm hoping to finish them so I can get them in mail on Friday.

My DH's meatloaf is probably pretty "boring". Nothing exciting in it....I just love meatloaf. Hee Hee. It also makes for wonderful leftovers and couples well with eggs in the morning. :)

I had a great day with the kiddos today. I ordered some Cathe stuff b/c I got coupons in the mail. :p I got the 2lb hand weights...in size S/M....and they feel like an XS. :( I"m hoping they will stetch. I'm disappointed. I also got the step mat to be used under the step to keep it from moving, or ontop of the mat when it's used for strength training. That is a very nice piece of equipment. :)

Since K's spitting us is sooo much better I am trasistioning her to sleep flat. I usually put her carseat in her bed at night..but she naps flat..anyway..I have decided to start her out flat and if there is a problem move her to her seat. Shes been in bed nearly an hour. I sure hope she sleeps better tonight!

Jen~ I'm the opposite of you with family. With age.......I tell it how it is more than ever now....not that it makes a difference either way. hee hee

Just walked 3 miles w/Madalynn on elliptical. Myranda then needed to be fed, followed by Madalynn. I am not kidding, they have been eating like crazy over here. My boobies are working overtime! Hourly was not an overestimate! I hope that fenugreek & brewer's yeast works!

Appt at 10AM....2 hrs away......so I'll be gone most of day tomorrow. I hope to get a 4 mile run in somewhere in the midst of the day.
