Mini Step

Cathe I was wondering how high is your mini step, I have a step from the Firm(the stool they use) and just want to compare in size. Thanks, Pam:)

Hey Pam,

Not Cathe here (duh!) but I thought I would let ou know the mini step is approximately 14" tall depending on the video you are using. The Firm stool is appropriate for use with Cathe's tapes for stepping up or leg presses. It's what I use.

When the Firm first started using the stool they recommended that you use a stool that was tall enough for your knee to form a 45 degree angle with your thigh & shin. If you were to bend your knee any further than that you could cause an injury to your knee--their words not mine.

I don't know what Cathe recommends for a stool/ministep safety height but I can tell you that I've been using the same old 14" stool & getting GREAT results.

Now, for using the stool for bent over lat rows, I have to go with a chair because I'm taller than Cathe & find that being bent over to a 14" stool just KILLS my lower back. For those exercises, I use a 18" table (my end table in my family room).

Hope this is helpful to you.

Yep, it's 14" high on some IS workouts, and 16" on others. The lid is 4" and depending on how many 2" risers she puts underneath 5 or 6, it's either 14" or 16".
