MI Roll Call-Lunch in the Future??

Sounds great! I've got it in my planner!

Is 1:00 still the time?

And which restaurant do we want to go to?
Champps (American)
PF Chang's (Chinese)
Smokey Bones (BBQ)
Bravo (Italian)
Claddagh's Irish Pub
La Senorita (Mexican)
Mitchell's (Fish)
They're all right at the shopping place - no extra driving necessary

I'm all for Champps. That way, if my Spartans are playing, it'll be on the big screen! Plus, the menu is so varied, it should satisfy most of us-including the preggo!;) But, I'll go with what everyone else decides-I'm just happy to be able to go!

Champps is one of my faves so its great with me, but I'll go with whatever everyone decides as Eastwood is only baout 15 min. from my house!:D
Can't wait to meet everyone!

And, Klaudia, you look AMAZING!!! You'll be my post-partum role model!

OMG! Thank You, Kate! I totally just blushed. Your comment is just what I needed to motivate me to get my workout done. Here I sit perusing the forums, in my workout clothes, eating pita chips and hummus-not very inspiring, I must admit. I'm going down right now (after a few more chips!)

Well, Klaudia, you're inspiring my ever-growing pregnant self to get MY butt downstairs to do my workout! Tho I do like the sounds of a pita chip workout!;)

Wanted to say hi to all my fellow Michiganders! I live between Charlotte and Olivet and actually do my grocery shopping in E. Lansing on Saturdays. I checked the menu for Champps and I'll pass this time cause as a vegan there's not a lot of options there. Hope you all have lots of fun.

We don't have to do Champp's. Whatever will get the most people together is good with me. Is there a place that offers vegan options in the area? I can't remember much from my college days except for La Senorita and the Peanut Barrel-yum!

Peaceful Rainbow, We eat at Champps quite often, and I know they would be more than accommodating to your needs. However, I'm sure we're all fine to pick something else out too if you really wanted to come.

Tammy, Hope you can join us! Any food preference for you?

I honestly don't eat out enough to know what places would work though in general ethnic restaurants are better than American. I've only been to the Eastwood Towne Center once, so I don't know what places can accommodate groups. But, please don't worry about working around me.

Let's keep it at Champs then. I really don't know too many places anywhere for Vegans.
I need to get boots so I might save it for that trip too.

Okay, so Champps at 1PM on Sept. 27.

Christi, Hope you can make it!

Jennifer there is a DSW at Eastwood that has more shoes/boots that you can imagine and they're all priced pretty reasonably. I'll keep my eyes out for coupons - they mail them to me all the time - and I'll save them for you.

Since I live close by I'll see if I can make reservations. They have a nice room off by itself that would be nice to get. If you can make it let me know here or thru a PM and I'll count ya in!

Can't wait to meet everybody!

Kate-thanks for making the reservation and count me in.
Chrisit-Love Somerset and Maggiano's Little Italy. I used to live in the downriver area.

Can't wait to meet everyone and shop with you all..

I will plan to send out a reminder that week for our get together. Please let Kate (chefkate) know if you plan to attend so she can make reservations. Thanks.

Happy Holiday.

I don't live in Michigan but I've BEEN THERE! LOL :D Does that count? DH's aunt/uncle live in Grand Rapids and his best friend lives outside Detroit. We've taken the Lake Express Ferry from Wisconsin to Michigan and I've just got to say that you guys have the better side of the lake. :) We're so jealous of your beautiful sandy beaches, warm water and those incredible dunes.

Anyway, just wanted to wish you all a great time at your lunch GTG!

Sue,
if you're in MI, please feel welcome to join us. One more Catheite to the party is always welcome.
I live in Grand Rapids and used to live in the Detroit area. What part of the city does your DH's best friend live?
And, I hear that WI is quite beautiful too.

Jennifer -

I asked DH and apparently he lives in Ann Arbor now (job change). My bad. We've never visited them in MI because they have family here in WI so come to town 2-3 times a year and we see them then. I'll never forget the fun time we had camping last summer at PJ Hoffmeister State Park. How cool to be able to walk to the beach from your campsite! Even cooler was that it stays light out during the summer until 10:00 since you guys are on Eastern time.

I'm sorry to say I won't be in MI on the 27th so have a GREAT TIME and take lots of pictures. :)

Take care,
Sue
