Can anyone tell me what MET is? Thank you!

I know that MET means metabolic equivalent. I'm not sure exactly how it's measured by if I remember correctly it has to do with oxygen usage and energy exertion during a given activity. That's the limit to what I know about it - not much!

Thanks Jo! I thought it was something we had to calculate, but I think the STS program does the calculations for us?
