Meso 3 plyo legs replacement ?

Since falling a few years ago and getting a compression frracture on my spine, I find I cannot due plyo legs or the sqaut rack legs in meso 3, it really hurts my lower back. Is there any other Cathe DVD that is just as challenging?

You might like Gym Style Legs. She only uses a barbell for squats, but you could use dumbbells. Another one to look at is Leaner Legs from the Cross Train Express series. I like the variety that is in Butts & Guts, but there is a little jumping in it. Hope these suggestions help!

Can you wear a weight vest and hold as heavy a weight in your hands as possible? If the point of Meso 3 is to build strength by doing 8 reps at your heaviest weight possible, there really isn't a substitute for that in Cathe's repertoire. Anything else you are doing is hypertrophy (possibly) or endurance (most likely). Not to say those cannot be challenging and still building strength in your legs, you are just not going to "replace" meso 3 with anything else that is trying to achieve the same goals. I would just do whatever leg workouts you enjoy and find to be non-stressful on your back, while still challenging and that should be fine!

I'm almost finished Meso 2 (which I've done twice through since I loved it so much) and am also looking for some sort of Plyo Legs sub. Would love to do the weights portion of plyo legs but just can't do the high impact plyo bits - are they modifiable to low impact? Any suggestions? (I don't have a squat rack or weighted vest.)

I second the suggestion for the weighted vest - I got the 20 lb Altus vest from Amazon for a very good price. Another suggestion - PLB. I did the PUB/PLB combo this morning and it rocks! The LB segment from 4DS is also a very good option.

Good luck!
