Good Morning!

I thought I would start the thread for today and tomorrow. I am sure most will be busy with family and friends with all the holiday celebrating! :)

Today I am aiming to burn a lot of calories in preparation for tonights feast! I think I will do 4DS Kickbox & Legs, using the heaviest weights possible. The last time I did this workout I think I burned over 400 cals which is a lot for me.

TK:
I am stuck in a part of the cosy that I can't get to work right.x( . I have to keep ripping it out and starting over. I hate when you get 1/3 of a pattern done and get stuck on one part. Your bag is cute!

Tneah:
The rings sound lovely! I am with you on the workouts and some of the moves. I am 5'3" and cannot reach like Cathe does in some moves. I think its a flexability thing for me. I used to be super flexable, took ballet etc, but as the years went by, back surgery etc, I am not like that any more.

Leanne:
We ended up going to lunch so it was not so bad! :9 The food was bad ( Mexican!), but at least I only ate half and brought the other half home.

Lainie:
I am glad to hear that you are a little better! I agree that you need to see your DR as soon as office hours are open again. I am trying to lose 11 more pounds, to make it 30. I am stuck in a plateau and this holiday is not helping!x(

To ALL:
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve !

Deb:)

Happy Christmas and Christams Eve Melters!:7 :7

Ever since I watched "Mr.Bean's Holiday" I keep laughing about the way he gets up Christmas morning and does his little "Christmas dance":7 isn't that the way Christmas feels-even though we are "grown-ups?"

So yesterday was fun, we ate lunch-I had the salmon and green beans (good) and two small pieces of the best bread ever with a smidge of butter (not as good, but I could have eaten more!) I did some extra cardio last night-gentle walking, I do that sometimes to relax, so its not like its a major calorie burner.

Today we are having lunch somewhere on the strip-not sure where, but will try to control myself.}( Its funny, Vegas is actually looking like Christmas this year--they really went all out with the decor, although the only folks in town right now are the ones here for some huge thing called "Arabian Nights"-very "un-Christmasy".:D

Everyone have wonderful day and an even better Christmas!:7

Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve and Day, everyone!

I just pulled some chocolate chip hazelnut scones out of the oven, and they smell so yummy! They're for brunch with the family later this morning. I usually do Christmas Eve dinner at our place, but my SIL wanted to do a brunch this year, so the immediate family is all heading over there to have brunch and exchange gifts later on. I think that the DH and I might even go see a movie afterwards! It's so strange not to be doing the dinner this year, but it's also a nice break! Tomorrow the big family heads over to my aunt and uncle's for more feasting.

Once I get my scones a bit more cooled and out of the scone pan, I'm going to do Amy Bento's Kickbox Extreme workout. I got it right before Thanksgiving, and really like it! I bought her Hi/Lo workout used on Ebay awhile ago, but don't like it as much. I think it's because I have such a small space to workout in!

tneah -- The rings you picked out sound so lovely! Will you get them in time for your actual anniversary? I know, too, what you mean about touching the ground! I'm not even 5'4", and I still have problems getting down low enough in time! Christmas in Vegas sounds like fun! My younger brother's girlfriend has her family there, so they're heading out to Vegas on Wednesday for a few days.

Lainie -- How are you feeling today? If you're still feeling sick, then you should probably take it easy with your workouts for a few more days. Remember that all of your new workout goodies will be waiting for you to play with as soon as you feel better! I'm so jealous that you bought that adorable blue workout outfit! I bet you'll look fantastic in it!

Deb -- Hope you get that cosy glitch worked out! The pattern is so cute! I wish I knew how to knit!

TK -- Have you started on that quilt? Or maybe a new pair of legwarmers?:) You know that we're all quite jealous!

Hope the rest of you are all well, too! Happy holidays!

Good morning melters. This morning was Patrick Goudeau's Step Appeal. Oh my! I still have DOMS from Friday's pushups, and DOMS from Saturday's run, and DOMS from Sunday's GS Legs. I have my rest day scheduled for tomorrow since we'll be away overnight. I think that might be a good thing as sore as I am!

Deb: I ended up finding just enough fusible interfacing to finish the bag last night. It came out pretty nice. If I get out of work early I'll try to photograph it and put it on picturetrail. I understand your frustration with the crochet pattern. Sometimes just putting it down for a while helps. When you pick it back up later with fresher eyes things fall together more easily. BTW, your dogs are soo cute! How did you get them both to sit still while you took the picture?

Tneah: I'm a cardio queen too. Love, love, love it. Over the years I've finally come to the realization that more cardio and eating clean doesn't mean pounds lost with me. When I think back on it, when I originally lost 50 pounds years ago it was thru Firm videos and walking (both have low cardio factor). It was when I started doing regular high impact/intensity cardio is when I started struggling a bit with my weight.

Leanne: LOL, I've finished my handbag, and I've knitted a pair of mittens and a pair of gloves. Next project is either making a jacket using a quilting technique called 'trapunto' or a quilt for my mother using old photos transferred to cloth. Mom is turning 75 next year so I wanted to do something really special for her. I always have a project (or 10) lined up, can you tell? Hey, enjoy your Kickbox Extreme. I have that DVD too but just haven't been able to find the love for Amy Bento. I have a terrible time trying to follow her cues!

Well, I'm still at work and the lights are going out around me because this place is empty! I better get going too. Everyone have a wonderful time tomorrow. Hope Santa is good to you...

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all!

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas Eve and is looking forward to a great Christmas day. I will be travelling to a cousins house for an early dinner, then home to relax with the "kids". I did an I-Tread and tried the B&G stability ball bonus core workout. Can anyone actually do those things? In one of the execercises where you hold the ball up with your feet, I actually had the ball fall and hit me in the face..ouch!x( .

TK:
Would love to see the finished bag. I did figure out that stitch.. you are right, once I put it down for a night, the next day I could do it. Strange. The dogs will sit pretty well for pictures. They used to model for a dog catalog called "Pedigree" so they are used to posing for pictures. Of course the catalog ones were done by professional so they looked much better than what DH or I can do.

Hello to anyone that follows..... have a great day!

Deb

Merry Christmas!:7

Hope this morning finds you unwrapping Santa's gifts and eating yummy food!:p

My DH is still asleep, he has been on "turkey watch" all night!:7 We have a 20 pounder in the oven that smells so good right now its unbelievable.

I am going to fit in a cardio workout and some abs, squeeze my butt muscles a few times, eat, take a nap, and eat some more, sleep, then watch a movie.....ahhhhh, a lazy day.:)

Deb, I actually can do that ab workout. Haven't in awhile, maybe this morning, I will watch for the ball though! Merry Christmas!:7 Love the puppies, hope they got everything on their list.;)

Hi everyone. Whew, I am worn out! I singlehandedly made a fabulous Christmas meal. It was only for the 4 of us, but I still did the whole shebang, and also did most of the post-present clean up (while DH played a game he got for me on my laptop). I feel like a very tired Queen of Christmas.

Still sniffly and no workout today, but I feel like I got one--I was working hard all day until about 3 pm, when I passed out on the loveseat until 5. My illness hasn't been too much of a hindrance except perhaps another drain on my energy. I've had to stop, blow my nose, and then wash my hands many times while cooking. Ugh, don't like to think about blowing my nose and cooking (but I did wash hands a lot).

Deb, I haven't done B&G for a while, but I seem to remember laughing at myself trying to do some of those stability ball abs moves. I figure if I'm working on doing them I'm still working my abs. I have a lot of workouts that end with me rolling on the floor laughing at myself, which I just see as part of the fun. You should see me try to do pikes up on the ball. (Or tricep dips with my hands on the ball--I am hilarious at those.) And wow--adorable doggies!

Tneah, how's that huge turkey? I only cooked a turkey breast this time (but that was 7 lbs of a big breast) but it always takes me longer than I expect--slow oven or something.

Leanne, it was fun to open up my new Cathe outfit and shoes and stuff that I got myself. Even though I got them and wrapped them up myself, it was still fun to see them again. Can't wait to use them!

TK, looks like you've had some great workouts the last few days--makes me feel lazy. You go, girl!

Again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!
