^ ^ MELTING on a Wonderful Thursday! ^ ^

Good Morning!

Just getting us started. I guess the forum is still up and running, so far...I have today off because DH is getting some minor surgery done and needs someone to drive him home...

BB in a bit

Deb

Hi, I'm back,

I hope to get a workout in before taking DH to the Dr..I'll try that I-Train circuit again..at least I am getting cardio and some weights at the same time..

Yeah to Leanne & Tneah actually meeting! Love the pic! I wish we all lived closer so we could have a great Melting get together!

Robin:
I am probably one of the most "unsocial" people you would find, but have always had a good time at B&B's..The people will leave it up to you on how much you want to socialize..I just love the way they are set up, beautifully decorated etc. We used to go to Geneva all the time for shooting matches.

Peggie:
You are one working out Queen!

Leanne:
High ^^^'s for you finally getting BIL off his butt and into a job! I hope it lasts! DH and I have stayed at a beautiful B&B in Heritage Park..do you know where that is? We went to SD for a couple of days when we were in CA to visit his Mom.

Lainie:
I hear you on the DH in the way thing...I am glad my workout room is in the basement. How do you like the Slo-Mo workouts? I would definitely go by the Polar HRM for calorie burning numbers..I have the F6 and love it!

BG:
Are you seriously thinking of doing the "trainer man" program at some time? Good for you for taking that down time! We all need it sometimes. The yogurt is working well...at least no more puking for now!:D ...if I don;t workout in the morning, I don't get one in that day..by the time I get home from work, I am exhausted and the "K"'s keep me hopping!

Shannon:
Congratulations on the car! Do you have a pic you can post? Actually the other night was the first time Keegan got me up in the middle of the night.. he usually sleeps until I get him up at 4:15.

Tneah:
Wow Sorry about DH's nightmare.. did he tell you what it was about? Actuallu this was the first time Keegan woke me up in the middle of the night..he didn't do "everything" before bed like usual, so he had to go! I am glad he did, because the alternative would have been very nasty! The trick you taught Georgie sounds so cute! I can just see him putting his head between his big paws...

Kristi:
Boy, we were all a sleepy mess yesterday..You are so busy, it makes sense that you would have some days like that! You can send the dog here...I'm sure it would have a ball with my 2!

Kara:
Glad you're back!

Shelly:
How was your day yesterday? did you get a workout in early?

Allison:
How is your day going?

Laura:
Hi! Drop in anytime!

Well...time to drag my butt downstairs to workout..

Deb:7

Good morning Deb and Shelley

Happy Thursday.

Doing Pyramid Lower Body standing exercises and either a cc or itrain 45 minute. Haven't decided yet. It is raining here and I really am not feeling like going to work. I just got my monthly visitor and don't feel like doing anything.

I guess we will see if the forums will be down today.

bbl

Morning melty gang. Day 4 and I'm still melting. Yay! There is cake in the breakroom in honor of the graduating students. I'm not going anywhere near it. Today is a rest day, so I'll do the grocery shopping this afternoon, with my free time. I may make a side trip to TJ Maxx, just to see what's up...

Deb, good luck to your DH. Sounds like Mr Special K is pretty well trained. It also sounds like he has you pretty well trained.

Peggie, sounds like you're having a gloomy day. Hope the workout helps you feel better about work, Aunt Flo and life in general.

I'm betting the forum goes down today. I have to work in the Pee Corner today, and sometimes Catheland is all that keeps me sane. I sure hate to lose it today. Hopefully, I'll see the rest of you here. If not, I'll check with Figgyville when I get home.

Good morning, all!
I wanted to see if the forums were up and say a quick hello. I need to go pack DH's lunch. He has his annual appointment with the electrical heart specialist this morning. (He has a better name than that, but I can't think of it.) Anyway, my little dog visitor is not really so bad -- she's actually sweet and, more importantly, well behaved.

Deb -- hope all goes well with your DH! Enjoy your day off. Are you a good nurse for your DH? I, unfortunately, am not -- unless it's really serious! I'm not even all that great when my kids are sick.

Shelley -- I hope you have a good day!

Peggie -- I'm sorry it's gloomy -- I hate gloomy days!

Robin -- Good for you and your willpower. DH and I decided to make last night our cheat night b/c he had a legal victory to celebrate -- work-related, of course. :) Anyway, we had pizza, wine, dk. choc., AND some of the early birthday cookie & cake my DDs dropped off when they passed through yesterday! I really should have resisted the cookie & cake! Oh, well, today is a new day. I hope you survive the Pee Corner if Catheland goes down -- if that happens, we will see you in Figgyville. That all sounds like a children's game. ;) Your fasting experience sounds interesting. I did one of those when I was in high school with my church. I think 36 hours is about my fasting max, and then only for a good reason.

BBL!

Good morning everyone -

I love the pic of Leanne and Tneah! I'm so glad you had such a great time. So, when are you going to do it again? You should make it a weekly event as long as Tneah is down there on the boat.

Deb - I'm glad you said "minor" along with "surgery." I hope all is well. And I'm glad the little K doesn't wake you up every night! I don't have a photo of the car - just Google Honda Fit. You'll see it. :7

Shelley - how are you this morning? You give the shortest morning posts I've ever seen. :)

Peggie - I know exactly how you feel. We should stay home together. :(

Robin - congrats on your continued melting! I hope for both of our sakes that the forums stay up today. I'm bored silly at work.

Kristi - I'm glad the dog is being nice. Does she shed? Mine does, year around. But I don't mind.

Last night was busybusybusy. I even had to stay up late to get everything done. And that's not good. I don't function well on short sleep. So if you don't hear from me later, just assume I've fallen asleep over the keyboard. ;) At least I managed a good workout. I increased weights on everything I could during GSL. I'm feeling a bit DOM-ish in the hamstrings this morning. :7

Morning All:)

Deb, whats up with DH? I hope everything is okay?? Sending fast recovery thoughts to him. And "hold it little guy, don't wake momma up" thoughts to Keegan!}(

Shelley, morning sunshine!:p I know you must read that and cringe huh:7 My mom used to say that to me when she would wake me up for school, knowing that it would irritate me, I am such a bear in the morning.

Robin, your posts are hilarious, please start your book. I would be first in line, you have a clever way with words that is extremely entertaining to read.:D Good for you woman, resisting cake is big, I would be in there sneaking swipes of frosting.}(

Peggy, oh no! You sound down chica, well, AF kinda contributes to that, take it easy today, I can never, ever workout the first few days.Do you get cramps too? ((hugs))

Shannon, sending our resident "green goddess" (well, you bought such a eco-friendly car:D )hugs too. Sorry bout AF, you and Peggy better not awaken my own AF from slumber, I have to go to Seattle/Vancouver this Saturday to look at that boat. Oh, and Leanne and I will be seeing each other more, we got on famously!:7

Kristi, LOL at your frankness...not the nursing type eh? I bet you are though, nothing comforts like a mommy!:) Reluctant nurse or not, your feast sounded heavenly last night, and I know you enjoyed every last bite.:9

I went to bed really early last night as DH was out of town...it felt wonderful, but now I am up so dang early--well at least for me.
Today is the elliptical, maybe CC8 in Shannon's honor today. Then a lighter back/shoulder/ab workout..

Hugs and hello to all! See you on "Figsville" today if this board is down, thanks for that very cool word Robin.:7

Don't have but just a second...

WELL... the money is down, the pictures have been taken (O...M...G... that is really NOT a Little Mary Sunshine moment!! x( ) and the forms have been filed.

Now... I wait.

HOLY CRAP. WTH did I do??????????????

}( }( }(

ETA - had a teeny bit more time to read than I thought. Sending best wishes and healthy vibes to Deb's and Kristi's DHs! :)

Morning again~

BG - we are here to go through your journey with you, just like we did with Tneah!

Tneah - I don't mind sunshine at all. Whenever we traveled, my dad would wake us early early by singing the scooby dooby doo part from Strangers in the Night.

Leanne - I had a dream last night that you were coming to live with me!

Shannon - yes, I'm rarely very awake when I do my first post.

I can't really remember anything else. Sorry for all those being visited by AF.

It's my mom's birthday day, or would have been. She would have been 79. I'm sitting here overwhelmed with memories and sadness and just wishing all this CRAP would be over with already.

Tneah - I'm glad you got extra sleep last night, because I sure didn't! I got a smile out of the "green goddess" comment. I'm sure hoping the gas mileage will help my wallet! Enjoy CC 8 - I'll be doing CC7 tonight.

BG - oh wow! You've taken the plunge! We'll be here every step of the way!

Shelley - I'm sending you more sunshine in hopes that it'll make your day a little less blue. Please don't hide today, okay?

Hi, again,
YEA -- DH's electrical heart problem is still cured! That's the problem that caused his cardiac arrest in 2006. (If you don't know what I'm talking about and want to, the whole story is on the lhctodd website in my signature.) That is such a relief!

After DH left, I tried to take a little *snap* (snack-nap) on the sofa, but my brain was too awake. Does that ever happen to y'all? I need that nap, too, because DH and I were up extremely late again last night. I don't know what's gotten into us, but it needs to stop. It'd be one thing if we were doing something fun or romantic, but working into the wee hours is icky!

Shannon -- BTW I did decide that I like Imax3 very much -- mostly I like that I can do it. I'm glad it's only an hour. I'm glad they are wearing my favorite color -- pink -- in it because that makes me happy and keeps me from screaming at them. :) I also think the music is good, except for that heinous M. Jackson song!

Tneah -- I am always pretty frank. In fact, I have often been told that I "call it like I see it" -- sometimes I think that's a nice way of saying I'm a b**ch. Oh, well, I'm too old not to be honest -- with myself and others. Integrity and authenticity are REALLY important to me -- in myself and others! I did think of you and your love of grocery store cake icing as I was eating that stuff last night. One DD's big cookie had big gobs of BLUE icing on it. It was tasty, though! I just hope I can resist eating anymore of it. I put it in the freezer so that it would be too hard to cut. :)

BG -- OMG!!!! Good luck! We will be here every step of the way!

Shelley -- Oh, friend, I wish I was there to give you a great big hug! I'm sending you lots of cyber {{{HUGS}}}, though. I haven't lost a parent, but DH lost his father 2 and 1/2 years ago, and I have watched him deal with it. I'm really sorry.

Hi to everyone else!!!

Shelley - I know exactly how you feel. June 3rd was the anniversary date of my dad's death. He was only 60 years old. My parents had been at our house for supper on a Saturday night. Tayler was only 10 months old then. They went home and the next morning my mom called and told me he was dead. At least he went peacefully (I hope). They say he probably died as soon as he went to sleep. Very sad, even though it was 8 years ago. I think the only thing worse would be losing a child.

Breckie - what are you taking the plunge on? Is the Mr. Trainer Man deal. Please give me more information.

Kristi- I am the same way as you. I definitely am not an arse kisser and refuse to do that at work and pretty much tell it like it is. Ditto on the integrity and authenticity.

Shannon - I stayed home.

Tneah - Depending on how crappy I eat, tells me how AF is going to go. If I eat really clean I hardly have any cramps or anything else. It lasts about 3 days and I'm done. On the other hand, if I eat crappy, I have sore boobs, some bad cramps and very heavy flow. Consequently, I try to eat clean.

Hi everyone else. Hopefully will BBL. I need to go eat, I'm starving

Kristi - YAY! I'm so glad DH is still cured!!! You know, I like the pink outfits in Imax 3 too.

Peggie - I envy you. I'm sorry you feel bad enough to have to stay home, but I still envy you. ;)

Shelley..just ((hugs)) and kisses...your mom wouldn't want you to be sad would she? Can you do something today that would make her laugh? Sometimes when I really miss my friend Micheal who died this time last year, I pull out a movie we watched together, or listen to a show tune (that man was the only straight one I knew that loved his show tunes!:) )then I "talk to him" its weird how you can feel them right there with you, its really sort of strange and comforting at the same time. I miss that man every single day, and can hear him laughing at DH and I all the time. He was DH's best friend. Anyway, just wanted to share is all.

Kristi, I too value authenticity and integrity, and the word "honor" is a biggie for me too. I like you chica.:)

Peggy, sending you a melty hug today as well. ((hugs))

BG, OMG! Girl, hang on tight woman, you are gonna love it!}( When is your first phone conference with Kim? Now do not be shocked at his voice, its kinda high pitched, it threw me for a loop the first time I talked to him. Also, make a list of questions to ask him beforehand, you will be nervous and forget once you are on the phone. Make sure you call his number and be on time...but you knew that already right?:7 And remember your protein is weighed after you cook it....that was a question I remember asking..And if you can swing it, buy the supplements he recommends, they work, I still use them. Especially the glutamine and the recovery. The pre and post workout powders are especially good when you get down the road and the carbs are low...oh I am so excited for you chica, let me know if I can help in anyway okay?:p And don't cheat. I can honestly say (check me chica's if you remember different please) I cheated three times. I really was strict with myself and figured cheating would just defeat the purpose...not that I think you do not have stellar self control, because you will do better than I did on this program.:7

Hey, where is my chica Leanne?

Shannon, I am watching a bit on the news about a cardio strip class, for some reason I thought of you!:+ I would love to see your reaction to a class like that. What a silly arse thing, all of a sudden stripping is "cool". Whatever, our society is a mess. Yeah, I would take my daughter to a class like that--NOT.

Anyway, its time for Tneah to train.

Hi all. I'm sleepy again today. Ugh. The boys and I have already been out for a walk to the post office, dry cleaner, and deli/convenience store. I've also been doing laundry and other boring crap.

Now I'm waiting for a cartoon to be over so I can do my workout--Slo-Mo Legs. I'm all set up with my weights and stuff out and my goofy outfit on. Oh, and DH was home late again today, but at least I hadn't planned a very early workout--I do weights later than cardio.

Hope to bbl to catch up on personals (or meet you in Figgyville, if need be :)).

Ok. Back. We have a little drive ahead of us so I have a few minutes.

Deb – Hope DH is okay! Surgery doesn’t ever really seem “minor” to me, so please let us know when he’s fine! I have a hard time picturing you as “unsocial.” And I think “hopping” around the K’s totally counts as a workout.

Peggie – Sorry about AF. Glad you got to stay home, though. That should help a little. Mine arrived – so I’m pretty sure that was what my extreme fatigue is about. You’d think I’d GET it by now, considering how many AFs I’ve had… but it always surprises me like OH – so THAT’s why I’m so exhausted! Whatever. Anyway, hope you have a better day!! :D

Robin – WTG on the melting! Hopefully I can join you in the melting success. I’m really nervous about this whole thing. Sorry about the Pee Corner, but I have to admit, that makes me giggle like a 7th grader. :7 :7

Kristi – again, I second that! And what a great way to put it. “Authenticity.” YES. You are really one groovy chick. We are close – WE should totally have a Texas Melt GTG! :) I bet you’re a BLAST to hang out with. I’m ALL OVER the pizza, wine, dk choc thing… well, not for the next 12 weeks, but dang – I’m totally lovin your taste! WOO-HOO on the good report for DH. Sigh of relief, huh? I’m really happy for you. I know what you mean about the mind being too busy to sleep – mine does that at the most irritating times… like this morning at 230 am. x(

Hi Shannon! It probably feels good at least to have everything done though, right? I hate those busybusybusy moments, but it feels so much better when it’s all donedonedone. I HEART DOMS! :7 Especially legs, because I don’t typically feel sore there. Only in my wretched hip flexors, but that doesn’t count. WTG on upping the weights!

Tneah – is it a little spooky on the boat alone? I haven’t heard anything yet, but I just finished all the forms and stuff last night. So I’m guessing it will take them a little bit to get everything situated. I couldn’t send the form, because the ridiculous web page kept timing out on me. I filled that dang thing out 5 times, and lost it every single time! I emailed Tina, so I’m waiting for the reply. I hate my pictures. Makes me very very sad. ;( ;( BTW, you are one gorgeous lady. Those pictures are wonderful!

Leanne - You too - so beautiful! You can see your sweet spirit - and you look so happy. I'm thrilled y'all had such a great time. I wanna come next time. I love San Diego!!!!!! :)

Ms. Shellers – Thinking of you today – especially today. Sending you coffee-free whipped cream, and big hug! I like Tneah’s idea (hey, that rhymes) of doing something that would make her smile, although I expect most everything you do makes your mom look down with pride, and smiles. Lean on us if you need, okay? :*

Twin Lainie – Sorry on the tiredness. Hope you can shake it today. But dang woman, already so many errands! I don’t have any Slo-Mo workouts, but they do intrigue me.

Hi to everyone to follow - BBL to catch back up!

Tneah -- cardio strip -- ewwww! That sounds like those pole dancing classes people allegedly take for exercise. I like you, too. :)

BG -- we really ought to do a GTG. One of my DDs wants to go to Ft. Worth to look at TCU; maybe we could connect then. I have no idea when that will be -- after your 12 week program, though, so we can eat a little more freely. How does that sound?

Leanne -- where are you???

Good morning, all!

*Yawn!* Getting a late start this morning. I slept in until almost 7:30 since I was up a bit later than usual, and I had to take care of some stuff around the house before I could check in with my lovely Melter friends! Today is a rest day for me, but I might try to squeeze in some yoga later on.

I keep wondering when the forum is coming down. Thank goodness our Computer Diva Lainie has us all set up in Figgyville!

Deb -- Hope that your DH is alright and that all goes smoothly with his surgery today! Is Heritage Park near Balboa Park? It sounds familiar, but it's not a main area of SD. Yes, wouldn't it be so much fun to have a melty GTG!

Peggie -- Ug about it being TTOM! That always makes me drag during my workouts. Hopefully your energy will return -- just eat extra clean today. Sorry to hear about losing your dad when he was so young!

Robin -- Great job on the melting and staying away from the cake. Your visit to TJ Maxx after work sounds like fun! Keep in mind how much fun you'll have after work if you get stuck in Pee Corner for too long!

Kristi -- Is it your b-day coming up or the girls' b-days? Glad that the pup is being well-behaved -- and don't feel bad about your cheat meal yesterday! It sounds like you and Todd both deserved some nice treats! I'm so glad that his Dr. appointment today brought such wonderful news! That is fantastic! I love the idea of a *snap*. Yes, sweetie, you need to get too bed earlier -- it's not good to stay up so late doing work!

Shannon -- We'll poke you if you fall asleep on the keyboard. How late were you at work for last night? Hopefully you can leave early today! Yes, Tneah and I had so much fun yesterday, and we're going to get together again soon!

Tneah -- Good morning, babe! Glad you got a good night's sleep! So I promise I'll suck it up and call SD Fit today . . . or maybe I'll have Mike call and ask when he wakes up! ;-) No, really . . . I'll call. I can't wait to hang out again soon! How long will you be in Vancouver for? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that all will go well with the boat stuff!

Breckie -- Hooray for signing up for the program! Just remember that we'll be here for you if it feels overwhelming, OK?! Tneah really was so awesome on the program! Come visit us in San Diego! Seriously! I'll hopefully have a guest bedroom sometime soon . . . . :)

Shelley -- Oh, Shelley, babe, I'm so sorry about how you're feeling today! What an awful, awful few months this has been for you. Sending you great big {{{HUGS}}}! Is there something special that you can do today after work? On my mom's b-day, I always make a donation to the American Cancer Society, and that makes me feel better. Of course, going home and having a huge cry can be so good, too. Can you maybe go see a funny movie after work today and get a yummy dinner? LOL about your dream! Do you think I could come live with you if BIL doesn't move out soon? ;-) I could go there, and Chris could come live here with the guys. Scary thought! :) Like Shannon said, please stay in touch today, OK?? Please!!

Lainie -- Good luck with legs today, babe!

Kara -- When you get a chance, let us know how you've been!

Allie -- Hope your day is off to a good start! Did you hang out with Jim last night?

So strip tease as aerobics, huh?!:p
