I'm 6 weeks postpartum and working hard to lose 10 lbs so I can fit into my Levi's.

This is what I have planned for this week:

Sun: Rhytmic Step + 100 crunches (100 traditional + 100 obliques)
Mon: Imax 3 + 100 crunches
Tue: Body Max
Wed: Extreme Intervals + Cardio Party 2
Thurs: Kickbox + Ab Jam
Fri: Viper + 100 crunches
Sat: Low Max or Hardcore Extreme Choice

Anyone want to join me?

Sunny, how are you doing? Are the inches (and wt) just flying off? I am firming up quite nicely. I lost 1/2 inch of abdominals & thighs this past week; however I did not lose any weight yet. My jeans are fitting nicer too. Hopefully by end of next week I can walk around in them. :)

Hi Sunny (and anyone else who'd like to join). Today was pretty uneventful.

I did Rhythmic Step on 8" plateform, Turbo Jam's Lower Body, and Core Max section 1.

Good job on wt loss, Sunny. Keep up good work!

I am so proud of you...how do you find the time and energy for so many workouts in one day?
I can't remember off the top of my head my workouts for the week. Yesterday i did KPC and today is IMAX 2.

thanks, i am really trying to reach my goal. my wedding anniversary is 4/15 and my dh is taking me away so i need to make sure i am bikini ready, lol!

I can't wait for my turbo jams to come in.

Thur Low Max (jacking up the risers)
Friday Muscle Max
Saturday Stretch Max

Hi Allison & Sunny. I usually workout twice a day. This is total determination. In the past (when I wasn't on maternity leave) I usually worked out about 45 minutes 4-5 days a week. So, as you can see, total determination.

This week I am going to watch my carb intake (I'm nursing so I cannot eliminate my carbs all together). I'm hoping with cleaner eating I will be able to drop 2lbs and 2 inches per week. I may be asking too much...but if you don't aim high...you'll never hit it, right?

Today was Imax 3 (killer workout)! I will do Turbo Jam's Turbo Sculpt in a couple of minutes. **I always have my stability ball handy...whenever I have an extra 5 minutes or so I hop on it and do 50 traditional crunches followed by 50 oblique crunches. My stomachs already much tigher.

How are you guys doing today?

Twice a day!! that's great. everynow and then i can slip in a twice a day if i wake up extra early and workout before dh leaves for work.

If you aim for the sky you will reach it!! let me know how it goes...

I did Imax 2 yesterday..whew is all i can say. This morning i got up early and did 35 mins on the ellliptical. On deck for me today is Supersets.
Yesterday we got a new strength training machine. the powerflex by golds gym. my dh put it together right away. i can't wait to start using it!!

How/What are you ladies doing today?
 
I got my highstep topper yesterday. So.....change of plans! I will be doing High Step Challenge + Core Max Section 2.

Maybe I will take a nap today. I'm getting worn out with sleep deprivation.

I've been reading a lot on South Beach Diet and Ab Diet. I'm convinced that all my carb eating is getting in the way of wt loss and also the reason for my life long abdominal pouch (even unpregnant). I'm getting ready for a dietary change for next week--keeping everything balances as I am nursing. :)

Sunny, any news on the job interview?

Hi Mel and Sunny,

I finished IMAX3 @ 10:00 last night. Yowsa! Oh, that plie jump blast...Anyway, tonight is another late night only with Muscle Max. I've been eating pretty well these last few days too, so I'm feeling good. I'm even having a decent hair day.

Let me know on the South Beach Diet, Mel. I tried that for a few days but my energy level was on the floor. The glycemic index was very helpful and interesting though. I really learned the difference between refined and compound carbs.

Job interview, Sunny. What's that all about?

allison- i am amazed you workout at 10pm. I have zero energy at that time. you are determined!

i am done working out for the day ladies, i also did supersets.

tomorrow is timesaver # 3, plus more abs.

what's on you ladies agenda for tomorrow?
 
Congrats! When do you start? You said it was a PT position? What hrs will you work?

Tomorrow I plan on doing Mindy's Extreme Intervals and Turbo Jam Cardio Party. My muscles are pretty sore today...it'll be nice to get a break from strength training. ;)

Hi Girls,

I ended up doing Muscle Max's Upper Body Push/Pull Premix last night since it was so late. I'm working again tonight so I'll try to get Kick Max in after lunch. Of course, with 3 kids under six at my heals, I may end up MORE stressed out...we'll see. Have a good day!

BTW, taking Melanie's idea. Last 2 nights I've done 50-100 crunches on the stability ball at the end of each workout. If only I could work the lower abs as easily as I can the upper abs!

Hi Allie! How old are your kids again? Is one of them in school? I am totally with you on the upper/lower abs. My upper abs have always been tight and easy to work. How are you with plank work? Perhaps we could challenge on another on plank work...or pikes on the ball?!?!?

I'm pretty tired today. I'm not sure if I'll get to Turbo Jam Cardio Party. I will sure try though! I think tomorrow I will do Muscle Endurance (since I got my high step topper this week) plus 30 minute step-only premix of Imax 3. This should be equivalent to Body Max, right?!?!

Hi Allison & Melanie,

Well today was a not so good day. I started out pretty good, i did the cardio from timesaver # 2. with the intentions of doing abs and more cardio later on. well, i had to go for a drug test (for the new position) and am just so tired from being up with jaden last night. i never got around to my second workout. also i am somewhat bummed, the daycare provider i had lined up (in case i got the position) filled the last spot she had right before i called her to tell her i would take it...x(
so now back to square one. i have to find someone, we feel comfortable with by next tuesday.
i ate pretty bad today and we all know how important your diet is to reaching your goals.
my mail just came in and i received the latest oxygen mag...so now i am motivated again!!!
 
hello ladies,

today was supposed to be stretchmax basically an off day. since i was so bad yesterday i got up early and did 55 mins. on the treadmill.:eek:

how is everyone else doing today?
 
Hi Sunny. I'm sorry to hear about your childcare situation. I can imagaine how upset I would be, I certainly wouldn't want to be in that situation. Perhaps it will workout best in the long run. Keep us posted.

Yesterday was a tough day for me physically. I was so incredibly sore. I felt like I couldn't even walk or sit without pain. Too much strength training for this cardio junkie. So, I took strength training off. I did Mindy's Extreme Intervals and took a nap in the PM. This is the first nap I've had in about a month. I despirately needed it.

Today I did Cardio Kicks + Core Max 3 + Cardio Party 1. Tomorrow will be Muscle Endurance + 30 minutes of cardio.

Sunny, have you gotten your Turbo Jams yet? Allison, how are you doing today.

BTW, weighed myself today and I've lost 2lbs so far this week!! I'm sure the diet is helping too. :) :) :)

Hi Sunny & Melanie,

Tonight is my night to eat bad. Nothing like checking into a fitness website while eating Munchkins! Anyway, I taught gymnatics tonight and am fighting a cold. I got through half of Low Max which was acceptable given how lousy I feel. Yesterday I did Kick Max during the day. That was fun. How long did it take either of you to get through the leg sculpting drills?

My daughters are six and four and my son is 11 months. So I have one in Kindergarten, one in pre-school and one at home. My little guy is in that "into everything and knock it over stage" so he's a handful.

Maybe I'll do that ab challenge with you Mel. I'm not very good at abs. I have a very hard time keeping my lower back flush with the floor, so it will do me good. I don't need to be pregnant to look like I'm in my first trimester!

Well, I'm going to take something and knock off for the evening. Tomorrow is supposed to be Muscle Max. But I liked what I did of Low Max and may give that another try. See you guys tommorrow!

Happy Friday the 13th Ladies!

Today I did Imax 3 step portion and Boot Camp/ME bonus combo. I did not like the step only portion--it was too disjointed. I DID however enjoy the BC/ME bonus combo. I never did this combo before. It was about 70 minutes and had enough cardio in it to satisfy my cardio bone. ;)

Allsion, what do you want to do for a challenge? How about:
50 ball crunches
50 olbique ball crunches
10 inverse ball pikes
30 seconds of plank work -- 2 reps

Today i did 35 mins. on the elliptical and push n pull. after pnp i jumproped for 5 min. man, i forgot how quick jumproping gets your heart rate up:)

no x( i haven't received my turbo jam dvd's yet. i was hoping they would come today since they were sent rush express. oh well guess i just gotta wait a little longer.

do either of you have the p90x series? if so, what do you think of it?
