Hello, Texas girl!

My menu yesterday consisted of these foods:

2 Omega-3 enhanced eggs, 2 egg whites on 2 slices rye toast with whipped butter, 2 Boca breakfast links, OJ, banana

Tofu and black bean enchilada with refried beans and Spanish rice, salad with vinegarette

Ground beef tacos on tortillas with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cheddar, sour cream, and onions, guacamole with chips and salsa, spinach with garlic, green salad.

I also had a blueberry yogurt anda red apple

I had surgery in May and increased my protein intake by incorporating some at each meal. I am rarley hungry, don't fight food cravings and have leaned down quite a bit. I probably eat 50% carbs, 20 protein and 30 fat but my diet varies. I also usually eat more fruit and vegetables but need to stock up. I also try to get lots of fiber in my diet and do so quite easily by eating vegetarian at breakfast and lunch. Good luck!

I tend to be a picky eater so my food choices appear pretty limited, but here's a list of the basics I tend to eat...

fat free yogurt
chicken
steak
pork
fish
low fat cottage cheese
egg/egg whites
low fat string cheese
EAS Carb Solutions shakes
Low Carb bagels
romaine lettuce
granny smith apples
carrots
broccoli
mushrooms
green beans
brownies (just kidding)
sometimes asparagus
sometimes bananas
oatmeal
pizza (not good, but I cant live without it!)
Starbucks coffee (just black!)
diet pepsi (maybe 1-2 a week)

Hi Texas Girl!

My menu looks like this:

Meal 1: 1 whole egg + 1 egg white w/chopped tomatoes, onion & pepper topped off w/salsa + roasted white potatoes or I'll have high fiber/high protein cereal w/handful of blueberries or McCann's steel cut oatmeal cooked w/chopped apple & cinnamon or cheese omelet on 2 slices high fiber bread w/I Can't Believe Its Not Butter + grapefruit
Meal 2: handful of nuts + apple or string cheese + apple or CC
Meal 3: large salad w/mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, radishes, artichoke hearts, cucumber, jicama (when in season), peppers & topped w/either beef/turkey/chicken/fish or beans + banana
Meal 4: either beef/chicken/turkey/fish + assortment of veggies
Meal 5: again protein chicken/turkey/pork/beef/fish w/veggies. If I've had the potatoes in the morning, then I won't have rice in the evening otherwise I'll make Spanish rice or risotta or sweet potatoes
Meal 6: protein shake (only if I've done some heavy weight training) or didn't have time to get in Meal 5. This shake is only taken once in a while.
