Well score one for me. Thanks to all the great advice I got here regarding PF. I'm up and running again. Today I ran 5 miles, . . no problems. I got new shoes, . .the best running shoes in the universe of the world Asics Nimbus 11 with my super feet inserts (pink ones) and it was like running on a supportive cloud. I'm so thrilled. I also listened to all the advice about always wearing shoes, . . stretching, . .oh my the stretching advice really helped. Any how I just wanted to send a super cyber hug and thanks to everyone who encouraged me to not give up my running. With a little more training, . . I'm going to sign up for my first ever marathon (Napa) in honor of my mother in law, . .who is in the last stages of cancer. Today is a great day! In 15 minutes I'm off to the salon where I'm cutting my hair to donate to Locks of Love a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. I'm nervous as heck, . .but I know hair will grow back and it is nothing in comparrison to what my mother in law is going through. Monday I'll go for a 6 mile run with my super short hair, . . wish me luck.

Wow, congrats all around!! What a wonderful thing you are doing by donating your hair!! Maybe you could post some before and after pics, pretty please?

That's awesome! I'm so glad you are able to work with the PF!

What a blessing you are to donate your locks ... someone is going to be so lucky.

Awe thanks ladies. Gosh cutting my hair was a lot more emotional than I thought. It's super short, . . .Katie Holmes bob style. No more ponty tails for me. My son said I look like a little girl, . . . .hmmm. I'd say oh well it's just hair but when I got it cut it felt like I was having a finger removed. :( Thanks for the vote of confidence. I truly appreciate it.

I'm so glad to hear the good news! PF is a real bugger, but it can be beat! :p How exciting for you - good luck in your marathon! I know you'll do great!

My mother donates her hair to Locks of Love on a regular basis. I wish I had thought about it the last time I cut mine. :( I took about 8 inches off. Darn it! I'll have to remember next time! I let it grow forever, then whack it when I can't stand it anymore! I do tend to let it get so long that I sit on it and my pups step on it and that just gets old!

Anyway, again, I'm glad that you're back "on your fee" again! Be sure to post your marathon results when you have them!
