mascara

I am having a problem finding mascara. Either it seems they don't do anything or it seems that it goes on all clumpy and doesn't look nice. Does anyone have a mascara that they have found that they love and isn't too high maintenance in terms of application? Thanks.

Karin

Maybe start with using an eyelash curler. I like Estee Lauder, and Loeal volumous. Neither of those brands clump.
I've seen an AquaFusion one from Models Prefer shown on QVC and thought that looked really nice.

I really like Almay Bright Eyes mascara. It's easy to apply, not clumpy, and does a nice job of darkening, lengthening, and thickening without looking like "too much." I use the Black Plum shade. It probably isn't that different from Black Brown, but it's kind of fun.

I use Almay. It's the best one if your eyes are sensitive. It goes on smooth without clumping but you may need to apply 2 coats if you want to thicken your lashes.

Michele:)

I use Loreal Lash Architect 3D mascara. It's the best one I've used. I don't need more than a coat or two to make my lashes look thick and curled up.

The one I love is by Prescriptives and it is called false eyelashes.

It is expensive, but it is worth it to me. It goes on better than any other mascara I've tried.

Another vote for Almay Bright Eyes mascara! It has a great brush with bristles that are a little longer on one side. I have one of those mascara combs in case I get heavy handed, I don't have to use it often w/ the Bright Eyes mascara. I've also found that waterproof mascara clumps much more than non waterproof.

Karin,
Start with curling your lashes. Then apply the mascara by wiggling it at the base of the lashes upward. Then turn it so that it's vertical and add a few strokes for a "star" effect.

I really like Benefit's Bad Gal lash--it makes my lashes look unbelievably long & full, but it's definitely high maintenance.

My day to day mascara is Max Factor's 2000 Calorie. I saw on Good Morning American that it's still the preferred mascara of Hollywood makeup artists. It's low maintenance & applies very easily.

I see you, too, have been influenced by Carmindy--LOL! I have to say that I love her makeovers. What I wouldn't give to have a Carmindy makeover! I bought an eyelash curler as a direct result of watching WNTW.

Michele, that's funny, I've only seen Carmindy use an eyelash curler once or twice. I've been using one my whole life. I have long eyelashes that droop terribly if I don't curl them.
