Mammo callback

As I hear also it happens a lot. I was called back and it was a "skin fold". Like you, I was a nut until they told me what it was.

Don't worry, Marla. I've known several women who had call backs that turned out to be nothing, and I have to have an ultra sound every time because of density. Stay distracted and try not to think about it.

Hi Marla! I have several gals I know from class that were called back and everything turned out just fine. I would worry/stress too if it was me! I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers....too bad you have to wait THREE weeks to go back! Thinking of you!

Yes, this has happened to me. I have a cyst (that is very small I cannot feel it) that showed up behind my left nipple. My very first mammo came back and I had to have an ultrasound and then my second one I had to go back. It was the same thing. It did not change and now they know how my breast looks and what is there. Don't panic, I think at some point everyone has one come back. Good luck to you.

I received a "call back" in 1999 when I started getting mammograms and it turned out to be nothing. Then in 2003 after I had lost 30 pounds and had gotten in the best shape of my life (with Cathe's help) I found a painful lump (my breasts had obviously gotten smaller). My doctor wanted me to get another mammogram and ultrasound of the area. A spot showed up on the ultrasound, but not the mammogram. Anyway, after a biopsy it turned out to be cancer. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I believe getting in shape saved my life because if I hadn't lost the weight, I may have never found the lump (with mammogram) until it was too late. Good luck to you and I hope everything works out for you!!
