Hi mamas--
First and foremost... I wanted to apologize for my rant yesterday. I am expecting AF to arrive any day, and I am ill ill ill. So sorry. I'll try to be more uplifting today
Kate--Your post sounded SO nice. Ah to feel nice and lean! I remember two summers ago, I'd wake up feeling the same way, and it made clean eating so much easier. Way to go, girl!!! Oh, and, how far are your runs? Is it not too hot to run up there? it's HOT here... I got in my car after my killer dentist appointment the other day (first time I ever needed major work done on a tooth and it was horrible ... another reason for my wonderful mood yesterday... anyway), got in my car, and my car thermometer read 104 degrees!!!
Can't imagine running in this heat, though my devoted DH did yesterday. (He's such a show off!!
)
Becky--Thanks for the sweet words! You are totally right. I need to learn to make my weight a priority without letting it take over my life. Yard work DEFINITELY counts as a workout! I read somewhere that it burns quite a lot of calories, as does vigorous house cleaning. LOL about your neighbors and the cookies!! My neighbors aren't that friendly. I'd never have to worry about that!! Though, one of our neighbors (the old man next door) recently got a new puppy that he lets leave presents in our yard every day. Eww. AND he (the pup) steals shoes off of our back porch. We often leave our outside shoes on the back porch (the kids' play shoes/crocs and my gardening shoes) and that dog stole them the other day!!! My DH had to search the neighborhood for them. He chewed up a pair of my flip flops and the neighbor never even offered to pay for them. Stupid dog. Sorry for the rant/tangent! OK, back to you... Thanks again for the advice. I know you're right. And as for you and your weightloss... Your avatar is lovely! You look like you're my goal weight!! Be very proud of yourself!!!
Lisa--Again, apologies for my rant!! YOU are beautiful and are a rockstar for already fitting into a size 2! Don't let anyone tell you differently!!
Jess-- So sorry for the colic problem! I know it's so hard when they are crying and nothing you do seems to help, but I'm sure it will subside with age (yeah, I know, that doesn't help...). I totally and wholeheartedly believe in the vacuum cleaner. Please give it a try. It works wonders. I think that when babies can't hear themselves cry, they stop. I think that's why the vacuum cleaner works wonders. It never scared Oliver, just weirdly comforted him.
Laura--Enjoy the grandparents' visit!! Take some time out for yourself!!
Sydney--Hi! How's work going?
Maggie--Seriously girl. Where are you? I'm starting to worry a little!! Hope that you and your bunch are doing well! We miss you!!!

Goals are simple today: clean eats, a good workout (not sure what... any suggestions??) and fun with my kiddos.
One more thing: Will you guys post your daily menu for me? I'm needing some ideas... THanks Kate for yours!!
