Makena is Here!!

Hi everybody! Makena Ann is here!! She arrived on her own on Sat. morning at 9:29. She weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. I would like to set up some type of web page to show her off, but I don't really know how. If any of you would like, just email me and I will forward a picture to you.

Labor went very smoothly. My contractions started about 3:30 am and Makena arrived 6 hours later with only a few pushes!

Zack is really enjoying his little baby sister! He helps feed her and he loves to hold her!

Thank you all so much for your prayers for a natural (rather than induced) labor! They worked!!!! :D
 
Hey congratulations Sara--that is awesome. I am so glad things went so well. How old is Zach who is enjoying his little sister so much? (very sweet). All of our kids have enjoyed new babies around here. We have never had a jealousy problem--just the opposite--siblings who love too much:p .

Well take care of yourself and let yourself recover. And when you are ready we look forward to hearing from you on the post partum board. You don't have to be working out to join, so keep us posted.

Congratulations Sara!!!! I'm glad everything went so smoothly and you were able to have her on your own. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest (if that's possible :)
