Lucky Jeans

There was a thread some time ago regarding "favorite jeans" or something similar. I just wanted to thank whoever it was that suggested Lucky jeans. I bought a pair of "Sweet and Low"s over the weekend and I LOVE them. They feel so good, and make me think my butt looks smaller :) What more can you ask for from a jean?

thanks,
Shonie

I know I was one of several. I just ordered another pair myself, I think this'll make 5 pairs for me (I got another pair of Lil' Maggies--they fit incredibly well). :p I'm a Lucky addict for sure.

Anyway, glad you like them--and I guarantee your significant other will appreciate them!

I have two pairs of the relaxed and I love them. I just wish they made them a bit shorter cause mine drag the ground.

WAAAAAAH;( I want a pair of these jeans. I tried some on and the fit is great except they are about 5" too longx( Hemming is not an option cuz it just doesn't look right on jeans. Oh well I suppose I could get some 5" heels but then I'd probably break an ankle.

I just got finished looking at the website and now I want a pair of Sweet and Lows too! They look so cute. And they come in the extra long inseam, which is what I need. I am major jones'n now. (hehe)

Love,

I have a pair of Lucky jeans too, my first pair and they are very comfortable and they don't make my butt look misshapen or anything. They are great, I'm going to get another pair.

I buy my Lucky's at a store called Buckle, and they do the alterations for free. I love it b/c they hem them so that the original seam is intact... They just kind of fold it up, sew it, and unbelievably, you can't even tell they've been altered! I do think many of their styles of jeans come in different lengths, too... If they don't have them in the store, just try on the regular or long lengths and order the short ones from the website! }(

It was me!!! Well I 'm one of them anyway! I have four pairs of Lucky's!!!! I love them!! They are the best!!!

:)

Here's the website if anyone else wants to know.

Oh, and editing to say...I am only 5 feet tall!! They have short lengths too!!!! They are the perfect length...no dragging or anything!!!

I asked the girl at the Lucky store in our mall about the length issue. She said that they just had sort of a convention where the sales people told the manufacturer that they really need to provide a bit shorter length for us shorties. She said they were very reluctant for some reason but that next year they are going to try it in one of the styles.

I guess the fact that you can hem the pants if need be made this unattractive to the manufacturer. I personally don't like the look of hemmed jeans. If I could find a alteration place where the hem would look original, I'd do it!

I've been needing some good-fitting jeans too and I'm looking at the website because Dani says they come in a shorter length. But it's kind of confusing. I need a low rise with a flared leg but don't want the thigh to be loose. And I need a short length. Dani, any idea which style I need here? It's confusing!

That's strange...because the Lucky store at the mall by me has these short lengths already. All of my jeans are just the right length for me and I'm 5'00''. (I do wear a little bit of a heel but not much with them) Even on the website, I see they have the short length inseam of 29''. I just looked at the Sweet N Lows. I have 2 relaxed pairs and 2 other styles too. But I noticed that not every style comes in the shortest length of 29''. Some come in regular (31.5''), long (33'') and extra long (36'').

This question could be taken the wrong way so I just want to start out by saying, I mean NO offense what-so-ever!

Here goes, What justifies the price on Lucky jeans? Granted I'm a person who thinks Levis are expensive. Is it the material, the workmanship? Please educate me. :)

Nadine and Nancy!!!

Hi Nadine,

I got this off the website. In the "About Lucky" section. They are very high quality. They are just the best fitting jeans I've ever tried on and the material is very high quality. They last a long time and always look great. They are worth the price to me.

From the website:

"The Lucky Brand label has become one of the hottest American denim brands with a sense of humor evident in its trademark "Lucky You" fly. Much care is taken with each pair of jeans featuring unique touches not often seen in today's age of mass production. This high quality brand boasts premium denim fabrics with innovative washes and finishes. The superior style and fit of the product make Lucky Brand product appealing to men and women from ages 15 to 55."

Nancy,

You might want to try Lil' Maggie Jean. Here's the link and description. The Fit Selector on the left hand side of the webpage is pretty cool. I just noticed not every style comes in the shorter length but this one comes in Regular and Long and Xtra Long. The Regular Length is is 31.5'' inseam. The Sweet N Low comes in the shorter length of 29''.

"FIT DESCRIPTION:
Lowest rise, slightly higher in back for full coverage. Fits slim through hips and thigh."

Nadine,

For me, it's the way they fit. I have problems many times with jean fit. The waist may be to large, while the hips are perfect or vice versa. These jeans also do not stretch out much during the day. Meaning, when I put them on they fit like a size 4 and by the end of the day, they still fit like a 4, not a 6 (all stretched out).
The first time I tried them on, I was amazed at how figure flattering they are.

I understand the high price is because they are made in the U.S.

What a great find ducky!! I've seen them at TJMAXX too for less.

RE: Nadine and Nancy!!!

I would suggest the Lil' Maggie too. I have two pairs & I love them.

What justfifies the price? They're cool. It's all market driven.

The mall stores near me that carry Lucky jeans only carry regular and long lengths. I'm only 5'3/4" so they are way too long and like Candi, I don't like the look of hemmed jeans either. Thanks for the website link...I'm going searching for 29" inseams :)

RE: Nadine and Nancy!!!

It was definitely an emotion driven purchase for me! I tried them on and fell in love. I am a Marshall's and TG Maxx girl so the price floored me, but I splurge every once in awhile and this was one of those times. Well, two of those times. I own two pair.

I personally don't think I would order them on line though. I would be afraid to order them without trying them on. Not unless I had no problem with sending them back until I found the right ones.

What price? They're just regular pants price, nothing out of the ordinary. Considering how much wear you can get out of a great-fitting pair of jeans, they probably cost less per wear than your other pants.
