Lucky Jeans

RE: Nadine and Nancy!!!

Thanks, Dani. Don't know why I was so confused this morning. I haven't been able to find a single pair in the shorter length that you mentioned though. :-(

Nancy!

This link here has a length of 29''. They are Sweet N Lows. What do you think? On the right hand side where it says "Choose an Inseam" the 29'' length is available.

Good luck! I hope you find a pair you like. :) Here's the link:

RE: Nadine and Nancy!!!

Nancy,

Thanks. Just what I'm thinking, too. I'm just not used to plopping down $100 for a pair of pants. But that's all behind me now. I'm just enjoying them and not regreting the bucks spent at all.

:7

Well this is actually true--Gap's premium denim, the 1969 collection, costs about the same. And they have the same great fit (I have one pair of these also--LOVE them). Also Miss Sixty, Deisel, Earl, 7 For All Mankind are even more expensive ($170 for a pair of jeans is definitely out of my budget!), & IMO aren't as nice as the Luckys.

I also agree that the fit is worth the cost--my a$$ has never looked better. }( I think they have more of a juniors cut--slimmer in the hips and I'd like to say larger in the waist but I've never seen a pair of Luckys that go all the way up to the waist. :p

I'm not sure what size I would be, so maybe I'd better go try them on. They have a few stores here in the city. Did someone say they don't carry the short length in the stores, only online? (Dani found a pair of Sweet N Lows for me in a short length online. I'd like to try them on in one of the stores if possible).

Shonie, that's funny cuz I'd like my butt to look bigger!

Nancy, they have short lengths in the store where I am (Chicago/Oak Brook, IL). They might have the short length by you. You're in New York right? I think I remember you posting about working in NYC. Even if they don't have the short length it wouldn't hurt to try them on to see what size you are.

Good luck!!

Whheeeeeee!!!!

Thanks for the Langston's Site Ducky..:)..I am with Nadine and you on the price. Funny I can spend lots on workouts and weight equipment but 100 bucks on jeans is just a bit steep....so 40 bucks plus shipping works for me...:)..I might have to check out the Rockies and Cruel jeans there also....Carole....:)

Hi Ladies,

After reading all these great reviews on Lucky jeans I am going to The Buckle this weekend to try a pair on. My daugther has a pair, but I never thought of trying on a pair for myself.

Thanks!

Beverly

Nadine, I am with ya there, WOW, I was looking at the prices too, I can buy 2 or 3 levis for the same price......... Rhonda

I guess is money is no object , they are a great buy no problem, but some people money doesn't grow on trees.... not to be mean or anything, but this isn't a regular pants price for most of us.... Rhonda

I understand through people at work these jeans can be found at Lord and Taylors, Sak's and other department stores on clearance for very low prices in comparison to the $100 price tag.

Like I said, I am a tight wad. I buy my clothes at very inexpensive places because when I get tired of them, I won't feel bad giving them away to my daughter or Goodwill. I don't buy exercise outfits...I exercise in a 5 year old one piece bathing suit. I just make sure I have good shoes. My husband found my two barbells out by someone's trash so I didn't have to buy those either and my barbell weights were given to me. My SUV is six years old and I bought it used.

My money doesn't grow on trees. I work very, very hard for it. For that reason, I don't feel guilty about splurging every once in awhile.
I feel I am worth it.

I guess it's all in the way you look at it:7

Hey nancy324 --

WHAT?! Someone wants her butt to look bigger? Can't...comprehend...doesn't...compute. Hmmmm...so now I'm trying to think of what makes my butt look bigger. You may want to try the following:

Red pants. Pants with stripes or floral prints. High-waisted pants. Jeans with small pockets (yep...pocket size can changed the perceived size of your bottom) or, better yet, no pockets at all. White pants. A swim suit (though I doubt you'd be wearing this around town).

For me, I need something that lifts and separates ... kind-of like a bra...but for the butt (a "brutt" maybe?). There has GOT to be something like that on the market, right?

Shonie

Well I am fortunately single & childless, so if I splurge on my clothes (which I often do) I can get away w/cutting my monthly food budget in half (there have been many months where I've eaten tuna twice a day for at least a week for a good pair of shoes or jeans :p ).

What I meant by my post was not that if thats the price you want to pay for jeans thats bad, not at all....
My point was that for many of us that is not a normal price for jeans, maybe 35 to 60 bucks for me, but I have never paid over that for jeans, cause not only can I not afford it, but my hubby would have a cow lol...........
I say if you have the money to do this fine................
Its just not the norm for all............... Rhonda:7

Shonie-
Yup, I need more junk in my trunk so to speak. I'm talking about that round look like you get from doing lots of lunges. My butt goes totally flat unless I work at it constantly! :(

Rhonda-
Sorry. Didn't mean to offend. Living here in New York $100 for a pair of pants is a clearance sale. I guess it's different in the rest of the country. You should see what we pay for real estate. You'd probably think we were nuts. And you would probably be right! :+

I love Lucky's too - I have 6 pairs and I got all of them on ebay for ridiculously low prices. Lucky's are hot items on ebay. Be sure you get the exact measurements from the Seller and you can hardly go wrong. I usually go to the Lucky website, find the style I like and then find it on ebay. Every pair I've purchased has fit like a dream and I'm a small person who usually has trouble finding jeans. The 30" inseam works for me but I have a few 32" and I just wear boots with those pairs. Check out ebay and save some money!
