Loyalty Card VS. Gift Card?

Hi, SNM-
I am wondering if you would mind explaining what the difference is between the gift card and the loyalty card you mentioned in the thread about the gift card sale. Is a loyalty card perhaps something you would order for yourself?
Also, I am about to order some DVD gifts for my workout friends who always want to come over and work out with me and you. They love you!
Just making sure I'm clear- that the only way to get those on "sale" would be to order the gift card that isn't redeemable until Dec. 24th?

The Gift Card and the Loyalty Card is the same card. We plan on using our Gift Card for many different things and promotions in the future. Some future ideas might be to award points for purchases made from gift cards. After you have accumulated a certain amount of points you could cash them in for a free DVD or some other product we carry. We might also offer special promotions for certain times of the year for gift card holders; i.e, Valentines Day, your Birthday or Mothers Day.

The main difference between a gift card and a gift certificate is the gift card can be used over and over again by simply adding value to the card. You will be able to do this online in just a few more weeks. Gift Certificates can only be used once.

Whether you should buy a gift certificate or a gift card will depend on many factors. Gift cards are on Sale now and we will give you more value on your card than you pay for, but gift cards can’t be redeemed until after December 24th (actually we hope you will be able to redeem sooner than the 24th, but we want to make sure that our programmers have enough time to finish the work they must do to make this possible). If you’re using the card for yourself or the person you are giving the card will not need to redeem it until after the 24th, then definitely get the gift card. If the person you want to give a gift would like on redeem their gift right away then you should purchase a gift certificate.
