Lower body weight workouts...

I have enough cardio workouts in my inventory to keep me busy for awhile, but the only pure weight video I have is MIS, which I love.

My problem area is my lower body (butt, thighs, hips) so I would like to target that area. Since I cannot get through MIC in its entirety I thought I would break it up into two workouts and then add a lower body workout to it. One day do the hi/lo and then do some lower body and another day tackle the step portions and add lower body.

So which video do I get: PLB or legs and glutes?

Both are excellent workouts. I would suggest Legs and Glutes though. Personally, I noticed a positive difference in my butt and thighs doing L&G, more than PLB. On the other hand, since you said you have a lot of cardio, you may want to consider PLB, which also has PUB on the same DVD. L&G has KPC, on it's dvd, and that workout is cardio.

I can't speak for L&G, but I love the Pyramids. The floor section of PLB is a thigh killer. I love the premixes. I highly recommend!

In your situation I would buy Leg and glutes and the pyramids lower body. I love the exercises in the stability ball in the PLB.You have learner legs in ctx series that is 30 minutes of leg workout too.

Don't underestimate Leaner Legs. That is a TOUGH workout. All those low ends really start to burn. IMO, it is tougher than PLB.

That would be a hard choice.PLB and Legs and Glutes are both great.
If you get the KPC/LG DVD (which I would recommend) you not only have each of those to workouts, but also several really good KPC and Legs and Glutes combo premixes as well.

I think PLB is a very well-balance workout that is very effective. Just by doing the barbell work, you get a perfect combo of exercises to hit all the lower body muscles.

Since your lower body is your problem area, you might consider both workouts, which you could alternate to hit the muscles in a different way.

Thanks for the replies....I think I am going to get both the Legs & Glutes and PLB videos as the two videos are equal in price to one DVD.

I would really prefer DVDs, but my old television in the basement doesn't have any audio/video hookups for a DVD player. I have a DVD player I can use, but need the TV to hook it up to....guess what I want for xmas!!!!

Hopefully I will have a new tv and the DVD hooked up by the time the new hardcore series comes out!!!

Thanks again...

PLB would be my choice! I LUV this workout and it is the only lower body workout that gives me soreness for a couple of days...good worked soreness not I can't move soreness...although the first time or two you may be quite sore. Another reason I love PLB is you can up your weights gradually and just pause if you need more rest once you increase your poundage. The floor/stability work is awesome! I can't say enough good things about PLB. I do like L&G also and that may be a place to start. I think you will be happy with either and you can always get the other one later.

You can't get both right?}( :7

Legs and Glutes is on FitTV tomorrow morning - I set the DVR to tape it and then I can preview it at my leisure. Now looking for when PLB is on...

PUB is on 9/28 and PLB is on 9/29, in case anyone else is interested...

Thanks again, everyone here is VERY helpful!!
