Low Max/ IMAX 3

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to ask a question about Low Max and IMAX 3. I heard how lots of ppl like Low Max (and how IMAX 3 is really intence), but I thought Low Max was a combination of step w/ leg work w/ weights. Obviously I'm wrong because I watched the video clip, and I really liked the choreography along with the leg work and sculping. But I also liked the choreography in IMAX 3. My question is I already have IMAX 2 and going to buy HSC and wanted to buy one more intence step workout. Should I buy IMAX 3 or Low Max? Which one does everyone here prefore?

Thanks in advance of your help,

~Adri;-)

Hi Adri,

Seeing as how you are a gymnast, I'm sure you do a lot of impact work. So I think you may enjoy Low Max. It will really condition your lower body without needing weights or high impact to do it. I think it would be a nice addition to what you already do. BUT...there are some who feel it is too low impact or not as intense. Many really like the higher impact of Imax. I can tell you that I have real strong legs, but I have a hard time by the end of Low Max. It burns me pretty good. You do have to really put yourself into it to get all the benefits, since there is no momentum to help you out.

Low Max is 70 minutes of pure intense step. You can make it as intense as you want using the height of the step. It mainly focuses on your lower body. I haven't been able to increase the height to 8 inches, but I am happy with finishing the whole tape with a 6 inch height!
I don't have Imax 3, so I really can't comment on it.

I have and like them both. As others have said, Imax 3 is very high impact during the blasts. LM has fun choreo, and the blasts can be as challenging as you make them, but are low impact, which is nice.

Another one you might consider is Step Blast (on the same DVD as Step, Jump & Pump.) Super fun step choregraphy, and it's pretty intense, too. It's my fav step w/o at the moment.

Mine, too, Stephanie. I don't have the original DVD, but I have been mish-moshing it with my TimeSaver DVD and love it!!!

Thanks everyone! I think i will get Low Max because I already have IMAX 2, HSC, and Step Blast (I love Step Blast too!:) ) for step, so for more of a lower body challenge, I'll get Low Max.

Thanks,

~Adri;-)

Another option for an intenSe interval workout is "Interval Max,' which is on DVD with "Rythmic Step" (a fun, bit dancier all-step workout) and "Maximum Intensity Cardio" (another intense workout, 1/2 hi-lo and 1/2 step).

My vote is for Low max, it is wonderful to have a lower impact option for days when you want to be kind to your joints. And, you don't have to give up a solid aerobic workout for it, because lowmax offers both. Good luck I know there are so many wonderful workouts to choose from, it can be hard to decide.

Thanks everyone!
I think I'll go with Low Max since I already have the challenging IMAX 2. Plus i'll get some leg work from Low Max.

Thanks for you replies,

~Adri;-)

You won't regreat your purchase. Low Max is a great high intensity, low impact workout. My legs are still tight from doing it on Wednesday. I am still building up to being able to do the whole workout on an 8" step. It tends to hurt my lower back a bit. So I tend to use 6" step for all my step workouts.

I love low max because its fun, low impact and i love the leg blasts. they really really work my legs. I have IMAx3 and have previewed it but haven't tried it. the choreography looks very very tough. I prefer low impact most of the time anyway. I would get Low Max before IMAX3. I just got IMAX2 in the mail the other day but haven't tried it yet. I previewed it and the choreography looks tough but I think IMAX3 looks tougher. I'm probably going to have to break it down until I get all the moves. I had to do that with Low Max. Unfortunately, i have two left feet so it takes me a little while to get Cathe's steps. good luck with whichever one you decide to buy first. :)

Hi Buffyfan,
Thanks for your suggestion. I think I will go with Low Max because I already have IMAX 2 which is perfect for me now, now that I got down the choeography. WhenI really get good at it, and feel like I could get the moves down on an 8'step, I'll buy IMAX 3 for a challenge. Thanks for your suggestion. Low Max looks a lot of fun when I previewed it.

Thanks,

~Adri;-)

Hi Adri,

Low Max is an Interval Cardio workout. One that I just love and use a lot of the time.
