Hey you really should get some of cathe's older step videos they are great. All of cathe's videos are high impact and advanced, choreography and fitness wise, but ALL of the moves can be modified to low impact. Were there is a jump just step, hop over, just walk, jumping jack, modified no jumping jack, and your workout will be just as intense. use the lowest step possible until you learn all of the choreography and increase step hieght as you go, or not. you don't even need to use a step, just the moves alone will give you a good fat burning work out. I understand about the ankles but you have to carefully exercise the to get the back into shape also consult your doctor. Take it from someone who is very overweight (after giving birth) and my stamina is better than friends of mine who are "normal" sized. All do to cathe's tapes and their fun too. you'll find yourself telling cathe', "your killing me" but you keep going.
