Low Impact Cathe Recommendations???

I am looking for low-impact cardio recommendations as I have tendonitis in my left knee. I have been using classic FIRMs and the only way it seems to get a good, hi intensity workout from the FIRM is to do high impact: plyo jumps, jogging. Well, knee, no likey.

I was eyeing Low Impact Circuit and Low Max and wondered if there was any hi impact stuff in those workouts. And if there are any high impact moves, could I modify them and keep my intensity pretty high without blowing out my knee?

Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated....

Those two would be good. Low Max is a favorite of mine. LIC is great also. It has great premixes so its like you are getting more than one workout. There is also Low Impact Step. It's a beginner workout but its a great step workout when you are short on time or your really sore from a weight workout.

I have both Low Max and LIC and both are great workouts. Low max has a lot of squats. Is that OK for your knees? LIC is my favorite!!! Low Max has cardio intervals and LIC has weights and bands. Both have premixes with lots of different possibilities.

Low Max is a great lower body workout even though it does not use weights. Low Impact Circuit is just plain fun all the way through it and alternates cardio and weights. It really gets your heart rate up. Neither are difficult in their choreography and both are intense particularly during blasts.

You can't go wrong on either program. With knee problems I would caution you though that Low Max has a lot of squats and LIC has lunges that can be challenging on knees.

Thanks for the suggestions Farrah and Jamn...

Yes, I can do squats and lunges (so long as I keep a wider stance). It's the moves that require bouncing up and down on the balls of my feet that causes knee and some shin pain.

I'm supposed to be on a fitness product moratorium but I can always have them sent to my job and hubby will be none the wiser. :p

Thanks again
