Hi Cathe

I just want to say a big thank you for LMR. I've been working out with you since around Intensity series, was also a fitness, aerobics and step instructor back in the day, but a few years ago got some real issues with my back. Long story short I was put on physio only exercises daily for 9/10 months before my physio assessed me and advised yoga, pilates and functional fitness late last year. I've been doing LMR ever since its release and considering my back wouldn't even allow me to do a side bend or a sit up a couple of years ago, yesterday while doing LMR total body I was particularly rocking the weighted side bends and loving the feeling. I have done the 2 free downloads that accompany LMR2 and I know I'm going to get a lot out of the new series.

Although my physio exercises were good, I thought I was never going to weight train again, but slowly and carefully by following your considered plan I've managed to make fantastic fitness gains that I had lost entirely. I still have some way to go, but I'm getting there and hopefully, I'll even pack on a bit of lost muscle :)

Thank you for giving me the strength to reboot and continue my fitness journey. I'm so excited for LMR2.

Your experience with LMR mirrors mine. Congratulations!!

I have gotten a lot of use out of LMR as well. decades of staying fit (mostly with Cathe workouts) got interrupted for about 2 years. When I started back up, it was harder than I thought it would be, and I started with Cathe's beginner workouts. Because there were only a couple... I got bored pretty quickly and came to the forum for advice. Cathletes gave me all kinds of premixes on workouts that would have been too difficult for me (I was still a beginner and not strong enough for lengthy workouts) and the suggestion of LMR. I hadn't even taken the wrapper off of LMR. lol It ended up being just what I needed for a lot of the things that I'd lost (mobility, flexibility, etc.) while I worked on the strength (which I discovered takes me longer to recover from than it used to. I would say I'm now at an advanced beginner level/low intermediate level now. I've made enough progress that I'm not giving up. My motivation is starting to come back.

Ahhhh, we're all sharing similarities in our experiences. Thanks!

Although my strength gains are slow to progress, the gains are still coming.and I too am not giving up either.

LMR has opened doors to me that had previously slammed shut on me. Time, patience and persistence at a different level has been the key factor to progress and I'm really looking forward to LMR2.

Yes! Exactly! The continued gains really surprised me! It’s been months now but I’ve gone from 40 push-ups in two sets of 20 from knees to 40 in two sets from toes. I’m averaging 120 push-ups from toes a week with no signs of the collarbone/sternal imbalances that usually plague me when I do push-ups from my toes.

DH and I are finishing Stage/Meso 1 of a STS prep and I’m considering using the free LB download from LMR 2 once we begin Stage/Meso 2.

Thank you for sharing your results. I don’t feel like such a forum weirdo now. Good luck as you continue to move ahead with your workouts!

Editing to add that you may find that those strength gains speed up. It’s been kind of like a snowball rolling downhill for me.

It's so nice to hear I'm not the only one who loves LMR and am looking forward to LMR2. My experience is different. Firstly I've been using the series to breakup my more intense workouts-they really compliment all the stuff I already do. Secondly, I've used them as sort of transitional workouts. I had a major disruption in July and didn't get to workout for 10 days so LMR helped wake up all my muscles and get me back in the groove. This was especially important because I was preparing for a major ruck event (I carried 74 lbs. for a very hilly 10k). I even did some of the workouts leading up to the event, which occurred last Saturday, because I could remain very active but somewhat rested and not stressed. LMR is now helping me in recovery of the event simply starting with the mobility workouts. Again, Cathe always seems to give me what I need. Now I'm looking forward to tackling the latest free download which I didn't want to do just before the event because it is definitely more intense. Keep the awesomeness coming Cathe!

Download#1 and #2 are great. you can ajust the intensity by tweaking the weight load to match the breathing/heart rate you want. let us know how you use it and how you like it.

Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to keep this in mind as we move through our rotation.
