I did this video for the first time this morning and absolutely LOVE it!! :D It was intense but easy to follow and I really worked up a sweat. I can't wait til I do it again! If anyone is wondering if they should get it.. Go For It!! Susan

I was waiting for you to post this, Susan!!! I have been following your comments leading up to the day you said you were tackling CK and was anxiously awaiting your thoughts. Can't say I am suprised.

I love CK as well. Once you do it many times, I think the "buildup" of the routine gets kinda old. But I am too chicken to just jump in there and do the full thing cuz I know it will be intense at the end. The first 15 min of CK is about the easiest Cathe I have done!! Maybe aside from the Wedding Tape. Were you mega sore from the drills???

My arms/shoulders are a bit tender tonight!;-) I've been stretching them throughout the day. It was so much fun though. I was showing my 2 children some of the moves today and my 5yr old daughter was trying to follow along. I swear I have her hooked on Cathe already! :) Susan

As guilty as I feel admitting this, I was sort of disappointed with Cardio Kicks. While I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the 14 minutes of power drills at the end --and would indeed purchase the tape for only them -- I am not as crazy about the rest of it as I would have expected.

It is more floor aerobics-like than kickboxing-like in my opinion (e.g. mambos with a little punch don't seem kickboxing like to me). I would have preferred more moves like the "jab, jab, knee" (with the twisting torso) or the "knee, kick, sidekick, cross punch" from CTX kickboxing. I do bear in mind that this is called "CARDIO Kicks."

Also I think some of the moves don't blend together as well as every other combination Cathe has ever put together.

Still--if Cathe put out another Kickboxing, I'd likely purchase it.

Hi
I also love Cardio Kicks.I remember the first time I did it I couldn't believe the intensity I was thinking I may not be able to complete it.It's one of my favourite kickboxing tapes along with Debbie Burns Boxing Body and Powerstrike.

I loved it too!! Did it for the first time last week and all I could say at the end was WOW!!!! I found it incredibly intense. I'm use to doing the Advanced Live Taebo series, but this was, in my opinion, more intense!! Left me a drenched from head to toe!! I love that!!!

Thank you for updating this post.

Did Cardio Kicks last night and boy was it hard I kept thinking come back Billy Blanks all is forgiven. Its harder than Get Ripped I and II well any of his tapes I couldn't do the full hour will have to build up to it.

But I loved it its really a fantastic tape Cathe is great and she and the gang really look like they are working hard (which makes me feel better). I came into work today and the back of my legs feel real tender.

Excellent work its going into my top ten.

If you wanna crank up the intensity get some hand irons(ironwear) just 1 lbs will do!With all that upper body punching I started off using them for the first 16 mins took the irons off(shoulder was hurting) then I loosened up more , then put them back on for the arm drills in the second section! Now I use them straight through and I incorporate side lateral raises with the lunges in the warm up ,throw in some tricep extensions with the side kicks and when I do knee smashes I feel it more in my abs pulling with the hand irons--just an idea to get more out of your workout---Your friend in fitness~~Francine

Great idea! I'll definetly look into getting some! Well, maybe after I've done it a few more times. My shoulders and arms were tender after the last time! :) Thanks - Susan

Hey Susan! If your arms were sore without the handirons--I strongly suggest using them in small cycles at first! Maybe the first 6 mins with the warmup then toss them then put them on for another 6 mins--then put them on (approx 16 min break)after the first section for 5 mins drop them then put them on for arm drills! This way you can work up to the intensity with out hurting yourself and prepare your muscles to deal with the certain stresses you will be putting on them! This can be harmful on your shoulders and rotator cuffs if your not careful and if your body is not conditioned properly for this!I just wanted to warn you of this since you noted that you already felt pain in that area from doing cardio kicks! I don't want to see you injuring yourself!Take it slow, have fun and listen to your body and build from there! When you get to the point that you can handle the handirons completely through--it is total kick ***!It's a weight /kick combo!Let me know how you make out!Your friend in fitness~~Francine

I did it last night for the first time too. Oh My! I'm still a-twitter. It was the first kickbox video I've ever done. I'm into weights much more than cardio, but I see the tide a turnin'

thanks Cathe and co.

This is going to sound mean, but the guy on the right (you know, when she calls them to come to the front) gets on my nerves. Notice how he punches with his elbows all the time. All his punches look exactly the same. The guy on the left is pretty darn buff. He looks cute in those blue tights.

I feel completely the opposite! I love it when Cathe calls both of the guys (Mike & Steve) up front! They really help to kick it up a notch for me. Plus, anyone who can keep up with Cathe is doing great. I'm not trying to start any contraversy here, just to say I think both guys look great! I'm hoping they both come back for the next series.

Debbie,
I'm not trying to start any controversery either, but I agree with you! I love it when she calls the two guys up. Everytime I do the workout I laugh when she calls them up. I think it really adds to the workout and keeps me goin to the end!;-)

I personally don't care how anyone looks when they are giving it there all! He's having fun and getting in a great workout! It's nice to see someone let loose and be themselves! We all have our own style! I'd love to see them in the next series too!Your friend in fitness~~Francine

controversery?:-hmmm where did THAT come from? That's what I get for logging onto Cathe before my feet hit the floor in the morning!
