Yeah, that's true. Desmond is special. Locke is special. I happened to catch an episode of an earlier show when Locke's "mom" meets him and she tells him that he was conceived by divine intervention.

Who else is special? Richard and Daniel and Daniel's mom. I forgot about Michael not being able to die and I can't remember why that is.

I think its fun figuring out all the twists and turns.

Michael was not allowed to die until he fulfilled his destiny, which was to make sure the Oceanic people knew that the freighter people were up to no good, then to help Desmond escape the ship.
If you remember, when the cannister was empty, Christian appeared and told Michael it was okay to go now.

I think Jin is dead, but will appear in flashbacks ( perhaps to Hurley, since he sees all the dead people..).
Sun is out for revenge and is showing a ruthless streak that she probably inherited from her father. Jin will probably be instrumental in showing her that she needs to move on and concentrate on loving their baby. She will be alright in the end, I think.

Personally, I think Sayid is the hottie on this show.
I am not nuts about Sawyer's physique, Jack is just a wimp, and Richard Alpert kind of creeps me out.

Hi everyone! big Lost fan too. I thought I would add to the discussion. Ethan never ages either and he is one of the others. He tries to kill Locke "back in time" and shoots him in the leg, he looks exactly the same. So some of the others just don't age. My theory. . . they are the original others, not recruited others like Ben and Locke.

Which one is Daniel's mother?

I don't think we've been told specifically, but I *think* it's the cloaked woman we saw talking to Ben two episodes ago. The one who said he had 70 hours to get everyone back to the island.

She was also in the "Desmond" episode last season (?) when he tries to propose to Penny, but never does.

I don't find Sawyer sexy at all - funny as hell though....Jack is so tortured but has sex appeal potential, and has more chemistry with Kate....Sawyer has good sparks with Julia though...

I like Bernard an his wife - the way they fuss at each other.....wonder if they'll have a surprise role in all this....

On the other hand, they probably all smell pretty ripe, which would be a real turn-off to me (but if I were on the island, I'd smell rather ripe myself. And perhaps one of Richard's supernatural-like characteristics--besides being 'really old'---is to smell good in all situations. Maybe he's an alien with no sweat glands --at least not the 'smelly' sweat glands. Just a theory. )
