I don't know what is wrong but I feel so awefull I could just crawl into bed and just give up!!! I have slacked off workingout some since I have been taking care of sick kids but now that I start to exercise I just get so tired I feel like I can colapse to the floor and just die, and I can't seem to keep my eyes open for long!!!!!!!!!! My biggest fear is the beast is trying to take control again!!! the beast I am referring to is Fibromyalgia it likes to creep in when I don't exercise often enough! Sorry to gripe I just feel like giving in and laying in bed or on the couch and not get up.

Hi Leslie,

I have some days that I feel this way, too. Sounds like you've had a rough time lately. Do you have a light intensity, fun workout you can do? Something that will get you up and moving and be enjoyable? Sometimes I find I feel better once I've gotten about five or ten minutes into my workout. And you'll have a sense of accomplishment when you're done!

Hang in there,

Angela

Hang in there Leslie!! Don't let the beast win. Do something low intensity, go for a walk in the cool Autumn air, heck - put on some of your favorite music and dance around the house. Never surrender. Never!!

Hi Leslie, maybe you really need to sleep after many days and nights of taking care of your kids. I know I do. But after that, try easing yourself back into your workouts. Try doing a warm-up and one segment from your favorite video and see how it goes. I usually do this when I lack motivation. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Hugs,
Pinky:)

What are your children sick with? Perhaps you've just caught one of those nasty critters yourself? In my area, the flu is running rampant. I generally take very good care of myself (vitamin, food, and sleep-wise) so I don't get extremely sick often. But whenever this stuff is going around, I tend to get a mild version of it... and I am very fatigued for a week or two. Then I wake up one morning and feel fantastic!! As a matter of fact, I just got over whatever it was about a week ago. It sucks sometimes when I dont get "sick-sick", because I'm never sure if it's just in my head or not. But then when I feel good again, I know it wasn't :)

TAKE CARE!!!! SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They got that nasty stomach flu, their doctor said it is the one that has been lasting a week!! now my hubby got it yesterday!!! I didn't feel to good yesterday maybe that is what is causing this problem because I was starting to feel good and do a whole tape without stopping for water except inbetween sections!! and I was loving it, tried Imax2 and couldn't even make one interval! so I guess after I run to the store I am going to be for a few. I do take vitamins but I have splurged some on halloween candy, cursed that stuff LOL.

Hey Leslie,
I just want to encourage you to rest, take care of yourself, and when you do workout try an easier workout for a while until you get your strength back and you are getting good sleep. Even doing some of Cathe's stretches after a short walk may feel good to you. Take care and don't give up. I hope you and yours are feeling better soon!:)

Could it be the time of year?

Hi Leslie
I don't have Fibromyalgia but I can relate a bit. I've had a hard month that started with a bad cold that almost felt like flu - that slayed me for the best part of two weeks. Then because I couldn't sleep unless I propped myself up on four pillows, I messed up my back and sent it into a spasm. My chiropractor was away on holiday so I went to see my GP who prescibed muscle relaxors, which made me feel even worse! After a week of those things, I didn't feel much better but have now started taking arnica, which is doing more for my pain (no side effects yay!) than anything else I've tried. Now the clocks have gone back and the days are shorter, I feel like I'm changing into a hibernating bear! All I want to do is sleep! I haven't lost the desire to work out but I'm finding it hard to break through the fatigue barrier at the moment. Fortunately I found that when I did work out, I had almost the same level of strength as I did before I fell ill although I don't think I look the same. I think I feel so sleepy because my body needs it because I can feel my energy levels creeping back up again each time I sleep. I hope you feel better soon :)
ATB,
- Lisa :)
