Losing 10 pounds

HI CATHE!!!!

Since I saw you the first time on Fit Tv I fell inlove with your workouts. I trully enjoy everything you do and feel as though I'm part of your crew. Exercising 5 days a week, I have lost 24 pounds in about three months. Problem: I'm stuck with the last 10.

I'm doing rhythmic step, cardio with weights, upperbody, lowerbody, kickboxing, and currently I'm trying to endure BootCamp. What do you recommend my rotation should be? Do you think I'm overdoing it?

Please help me!

Eating clean is the key to losing the last 10 pounds. It certainly worked for me. However, once you get closer to your goal weight, it will take longer to lose those 10 pounds. I noticed that you've lost 24 pounds in the last 3 months; that's approximately 2 pounds per week. For those last 10, it usually is around 1/2 to 1 pound per week. Don't fret on what you see on the scale. Instead look at the inches you are losing.

I am happy to see that you're lifting weights. This is key to help prevent loose skin (I lost quite a bit of weight quickly and I suffered from loose skin around the mid section).

Keep up the good work and remember to eat clean!

Yes, pay attention to the inches not the scale. I am 5ft 7 and I weigh between 138 and 140 and I wear a size 6 after 2 babies. I actually weighted the same thing before I had kids, but wore a size 8. I started doing the firm and then Cathe and it has made a difference for me. I also found that clean eating made a big difference when I tried to lose those last 10 pounds after I had my second child.

I am another one who will tell you that what you eat plays more of a factor in losing those last unwanted pounds. The last ones are the hardest to lose, aren't they?

I have been in the same place with my own weight loss. I was working out like crazy (5-6 days a week, an hour or longer at a time), but the weight wasn't coming off. I recently modified my diet according to The Abs Diet (see the thread title "Abs Diet" on the Open Discussion forum for more details - I contributed a large post to that thread, so I won't repeat it all here). After modifying my diet according to this plan, I have started losing weight again. It seems like it's just melting off, and I hope it continues. All I've done is change the way I eat, and I've kept my exercise level about the same.

And The Abs Diet isn't a restrictive, hard-to-follow plan. Anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely will not follow a restrictive diet or one that feels like torture. This plan is all about eating clean, and it's very simple in explaining why and exactly how to do it. See my post on the Open Discussions forum, and let me know if you have any questions about anything.
