Don't you just hate how it seems like you lose fitness in the summer? If not lose fitness, all of a sudden it feels so much harder to work out and the levels at which you are able to workout automatically decrease! It is like once the temperature goes over 80 degrees, your performance starts to really take a downward spiral!!
I noticed today doing KPC in an air-conditioned room (even with fans) that my HR is LOWER than when I exercise outside in the AM, HOWEVER, I feel sick, nauseated and headachy. It is like all of a sudden I am having heat stroke after 40 min. of intense exercise indoors!! My heartrate does not reflect that though. It got me thinking about why it feels so much easier to exercise hard outside (assuming it is 80 degrees or below) so I found this online:

I am just whining because I feel like I am forced to downscale my workouts in the summer regardless of whether I exercise indoors or out.
When I started with Cathe, I thought her workouts were so hard, especially the cardio. But when I go outside and realize my HR actually gets higher out there but it feels easier, I wonder whether or not it was that little tiny room all along makin' me feel crappy!!
Now I know many of you can relate to this considering we are all home exercisers!!! And runners GOTTA know what I am talking about!
Already hotter than he*! in Phoenix,
