Loreal Lash Extend is awesome!

I'm not usually one to buy drugstore cosmetics--yes, I am the sucker all marketing execs love b/c I can't shake the idea that if it costs more it must be better--but I decided to try this stuff & it really works! I think it doubled the length of my lashes. I'd even tried Lancombe's L'extreme mascara, which is supposed to be the same thing (except it cost about 4X as much), & it wasn't nearly as good as Loreal's.

I wanted to share--it's a great alternative to actual lash extensions.

Thanks for the review. I like Loreal products. I have completely invisible eyelashes (until I put mascara on), so I'm always looking for mascara I like. Does it come in brown or black/brown?

Laura, dear, welcome to the world of cheap cosmetics. Don't worry, though. I saw some cosmetics pro on tv once who said there's no difference in the quality of drugstore and department store cosmetics. What you're paying for (besides the obvious name) is the quality of the compacts, containers, brushes and puffs. You find this out pretty quickly when you carry cheap compacts around. They ain't built to last, that's for sure.

Thanks entirely to you, though, I guarantee I'll be checking out this product.

I thought Loreal was owned by Lancome anyway....could be the good stuff in cheaper packaging! Thanks for the tip, I normally use Maybelline in the green and pink tube :p but I will try this.

I'm all for drugstore beauty supplies. I've gone back to using Pond's cold cream and moisterizer, and love them both. My skin looks great!

Eyelashes

Chiming in on the subj of eyelashes..... I just started using LATISSE™ - a new product that increases length & thickness of lashes. I began about 2 wks. ago. I see a noticeable difference already! Of course, the price tag is not cheap, and one must keep up w/the regimen to maintain the product's benefits, but wow.... I'm really liking it!! ;)

I wear almost exclusively drugstore products and it's all I need--but not everyone is as naturally gorgeous as I am.

***bats eyelashes and sashays out of thread***

Lainie, you are so funny!! And naturally gorgeous. I know, I've seen you in person...:D

Ah Wilson, don't make me blush. And did I read somewhere you've been married 20 years? How can that be? I thought you were younger than I am (seriously, you look too young to be married 20 years).

Another good one is Lash Stilletto (sp?). I think it's Maybelline brand. I wear contacts and haven't had any problems.

Well, I feel like we've been married for 20 years...!!! We've been together for 20 years, married for 13.

For us contact wearers . . . do you know if they have waterproof?

I don't wear contacts, but I can't wear most mascaras because they leave me raccoon-eyed. This and other 'tubing' mascaras don't (the 'tubes' don't come off unless you use both water and pressure).

Lainie is joking, but I've been lucky enough to meet her (and her sweet little boys) in person, and she could wear the cheapest make-up they make and still be BEAUTIFUL!!! (and I secretly hate her for that!!! ;))

If this is the stuff with Linda Evangilista in the commercial then I agree. It is fabulous stuff. Beauty tubes? Anyway I like it too. I have tried all kinds of mascara's and this stuff really makes my lashes longer.

Ah hush, TeTe.

Another L'Oreal for you to try is Lash Architect. It comes in Black and True Brown. I believe it also comes as waterproof!

I tried the Lash Extend and like it a lot, too. I really prefer a tiny wand, but the formulas with tiny wands kind of stink. Thanks for the suggestions, Laura!
