Hi all
In reading Cathe's breakdown on each weight training video, I saw that she stated that for those with weight training experience, we could maintain our current strength with a 2-3 week rotation of crosstrain xpress.
I'm wondering from those of you who have the series, how long a rotation have you done without losing previous strength gains, AND seeing positive results before moving on to another series.
Thanks,
Donna
Donna, you can maintain indefinitely. If you quit weight training all together, it'd still take awhile before your muscle mass disappeared. Using the workouts you can maintain muscle mass easily. But your body will adapt and you'll plateau. You won't gain, you won't lose.
Have you done Slow and Heavy, Donna? I am starting a 3 week rotation with it. It's awesome! I have been doing CTX for quite a while. It's such a great series. Now I want to add some bulk to my little muscles!
Thank you Bobbi for your reply on Cross Train Xpress, and yes, I am currently on a S&H rotation and I LOVE IT! S&H is awesome, and I could never find the words to adequately RAVE about it. In just this short time, I'm seeing shoulder development, that must have been right on the edge before, but S&H has brought out! I know we're only suppose to do 3 weeks on it, but I think I'm going to press it to 4 weeks, and then try out a few weeks or so on Cross Train Xpress, I just ordered it Sat, so it'll be here some time next week.

I did CTX for three weeks. Now I plan to do S/H for 3 weeks. I'll probably go back to CTX then move on to PS but I am vague on that. I have always been inclined to inconsistant weight training. But I am loving the muscles that are popping out and the firmness of my upper body. (I was flexing for my husband last night;-)) I don't bulk up easily but I want those muscles so I am going to train like crazy! I feel so blessed to have found Cathe. She is just the most awesome instructor/guru. And these forums just delight me to no end! And when I see getnfit@38 on a post I am always eager to open it and see what you have to say!
OOOHHHH same here~ you are my nutrition guru, so anything you say gets put into practice
I value your opinion, as well as several others who have "been around" and have valuable info to share and pass on to others newer to fitness/healthy lifestyle/exercise.
So much of this is trial and error, but I would much rather save myself an error by listening to those who have "tried it" and can say, "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on a subject. And yes, this forum is a real lifeline for me too, I value it so very much, and I too am so thankful to have found Cathe and her workouts, they really work!
