LMR2 Suggestion - Cathe/SNM, please read ...

Cathlete
Dear Cathe and SNM,
A few of us have been in discussion offline about our preference for 2 modifiers in the upcoming LMR2 series. The modifiers would allow the series to meet the diverse physical needs of your loyal base fans. I can't imagine any Cathlete objecting to your workouts being as inclusive as possible. These modifiers should be shown from beginning to end of the movement, not like in LIVES where mods are often shown near the end of the move:

1) One crew member dedicated to modifications for those Cathletes with joint issues, lesser mobility, and osteopenia/porosis who would appreciate joint-friendly options demonstrated throughout the workout. And not with just you saying you can modify if you need to (we know we can already), but a crew member dedicated to actually doing the mods throughout and clearly visible by the camera angles. But not so modified as to be insulting or insinuating we are fighting our way out of a nursing care facility. (LOL) :)

2) Another crew member dedicated to doing the workout as a more advanced exerciser, perhaps with heavier weights (and suggest the weight) and more range of motion, etc.

Thank you for your consideration! :)

I totally agree, modifiers would 100% be a welcome change…I think it would say,
“Everyone welcome..to be your best you, whatever your limitations”..nothing is
more discouraging & irritating to want to try & do a particular move, etc, and just can’t
achieve it, but when there’s a modification that can be shown to do a less intense
version of the same exercise, nothing is more encouraging & gives a feeling of achievement to the participant.

Since the series is targeted to the "actively aging", all Cathletes, if fortunate to live long enough, will most likely need some type of modification as they age. Adding smart mods will allow the series to age with us. And advanced mods could provide the Cathlete who is still young enough (or not bothered yet by arthritis or bone spurs or tendon tears or impingements, etc.) to "hang with" the advanced modifier. One size does not fit all. Modifiers would be very beneficial! :)

I always appreciate it when modifiers / modifications are demonstrated. Just being told I can modify leaves me up to figuring something out on my own, which, may or may not be done in good form or at an optimal position to receive the full benefits of a certain move.

The FIRM did this quite a bit in their series back in the day - they always had one cast member showing low impact and/or lighter weight/no-weight options and I never found it distracting or insulting. (I started my fitness journey with the FIRM workouts and I really really appreciated having the modifier to follow.)

I am still waiting for a better grasp of the level of this series. I was surprised by the ease of LMR. I find it a well thought out, beautifully done series, very pleasant to do, with zero challenge. The very nature of the functional movements is a completely different focus than weightlifting or cardio. Is it reasonable to expect it to be challenging in the same way as weights or cardio? Maybe it should be pleasant. Maybe the nature of the challenge is in the functionality—the way it mimics everyday activity, like picking things up. These are my questions. How do I measure the level of the series? That’s what I would like to understand better.
