RE: Live from Albany, NY Day 2
Well I saw 2 sides of sportsmanship today.
Scott had the gold just by showing up today, no one in his weight/age/division. They tried to set up a demo match with some one in the next higher weight division who was also unopposed, he couldn't be bothered, I asked him to go ahead with the demo match but he wouldn't, his coach said he was afraid someone might get hurt in a match that didn't matter.
So Scott was left without a match, another competitor, 3rd Dan black belt (advanced division) volunteered to give Scott a match. So Scott got a match, won it (The black belt fought down to Scott's level and made him work for it)
Scott wasn't privy to all of the details, so he went out and fought as if the match was everything.
Scott got his gold and his title, 2008 mens intermediate 19-34 years old lightweight AAU National Champion.
And I know Josh probably isn't on this board but I hope you win it all dude!
