LIS helping the "pear-shaped" gal

It's been almost 3 weeks since I started with the LIS and already I have seen a definite change in my lower body. My pants are getting looser in the thigh/butt area and my quads and hamstrings have more definition. My lower body is very hard to tone, and I rarely get DOMS, even with tons of squats and lunges with heavy weights. My thighs are very stubborn and reluctant to change. Well this series has been a war and my thigh fat is LOSING! The discs are incredible, what a genius idea, the dixie cups, the bands, the endless leg lifts in Turbo Barre that had me swearing words that are not in the english vocabulary, what an effective series! Thanks so much Cathe! You really know how to make me sweat! I love it!!!
 
I absolutely love Athletic Training! It it quickly turning into my all-time favorite Cathe workout. I was totally kicking butt today using the blue firewalker band. :cool:

I have been noticing the same thing with this series. Those discs are so effective for thigh work! Gets the inner thigh so well.

Yay! I've been having to sit out a bit since receiving my LIS due to a fall that hurt my hip, but this gives me renewed hope for my pear shape! Thanks for posting this, & THANKS, CATHE!:D
 
This post really motivated me! I've had to miss a few workouts :mad: (I did Afterburn on Monday, and Trisets Lower Body Split on Thursday), but now I'm fired up to get moving with this series! Today I'm going to do Athletic Training :D! My goal is to get at least 5 days of exercise between today and next Saturday!:eek:

thanks for sharing this! I've been having DOMS in my thighs like never before but as I received my discs just a few days ago haven't really started the official rotation yet. Btw, I'm also interested in the question Annabelle2 did and if you've been doing a special rotation please share, I'll be really thankful for that! ;)
 
I am trying to follow the 5 day LIS rotation as closely as I can. If I can fit in a 6th day, which is hard because I have a 2 year old, I like to do some high impact step/cardio (CCC, Intensity, HIIT, Hardcore Extreme or MIC). I still like the old fashioned cardio, high impact stuff sometimes. If I am tired, I will do some Yoga instead for the 6th day. Hope this helps! Good luck!
 
I am doing the November LIS rotation. But it is taking me a little longer since I'm adding Cycle Max 2 days as week. I'll probably stick with this rotation through the end of December then try LIS/STS rotation in January.

Serious pear-shape checking in! I have lost a few pounds and noticed my hips and thighs have gotten smaller since I have been doing this series. I have not been following the rotation, but I have been doing whichever LIS DVD tickles my fancy that day. I'm a spontaneous exerciser.

I wish I'd taken some measurements before I'd started this series!
